I just wanted to warn as many people as possible about doing business with 4wheelonline.com

Here is my reason why.
On the 19th of last month I placed an order for 4 wheels for my Titan.
On the 22nd, 3 wheels were delivered. I immediately called 4wheelonline to find out what was going on. I was told that FedEx had lost a wheel and a new one would be shipped out in a day or 2. I waited until the 26th to call and check on my last wheel. When I called that day, I was asked to email pictures of the boxes juat how they had arrived. I emailed the pictures and asked when my wheel would be shipped. Again I was told in about a day or so, my wheel would be shipped. Called again on the 29th. This time I was told that they were waiting on FedEx. They had issued a claim with FedEx, and would ship my wheel in a day or two. (You starting to see a pattern here?) A few times in all of this, I had called and the person I was dealing with was on another line. I left my name and number not once was a call returned. So, today I decide to call again. I finally get a supervisor on the phone. He tells me that they are waiting for a claim to be paid before thay can ship out my replacment wheel. He was however nice enough to offer to let me pay for a new wheel and have it shipped today. But they can't ship me a wheel until thay get the claim paid by FedEx.

So I asked the supervisor, why is it ok for me, the customer, to be out the money for the lost wheel but the company could not ship the wheel without being paid. He reassured me that my money would be refunded and to not worry about it. They sure want me to have my money out in limbo over the lost wheel, but they will not send another wheel until they are paid. Anyway, I contacted FedEx today about the issue. They were extremely helpful. They gave me the claim number for the lost item, the date and amount that were paid on that claim. So I called 4wheelonline back to see what lie thay would tell me this time.

I get someone on the phone, of course the supervisor is busy, and he asks about the reason I'm calling. He pulls up my order and tells me that they are waiting for FedEx to pay the claim. I tell him that I have the claim number and the date and amount that was paid. He pauses for a second, then tells me that the claim was paid to the distributor. They have to wait for the distributor to pay them so they can send it out.

All I have managed to do was get pissed off and continue to wait for my 4th wheel. I hope this post prevents a fellow Titan owner from having to deal with something like this.

That's why I go with discount tire...

That's a bunch of crap! Sorry bro...

Do this. File a claim with Visa. Get your money back for how much one wheel is worth and tire if you bought it with the wheels. You WILL get your money back. Go find another place to buy your wheel/tire. Don't even waste your time calling them telling what you're going to do. Don't even hassle with the shop.

I agree. Once you file a claim with your credit card they will be calling you instead of the other way around.

Oh yea. Might be true because I'm not too familiar with how the rules are about filing claims since I file mine the very first second something goes wrong. I read that you have 30 days from the purchase date to file. If that's true, then get on it!:bangit::read:

While you are disputing your credit card charge contact the Better Business Bureau in their home town, the State Attorney General, and leave reviews on every site you can find.

This is somewhat different but I hope this makes you feel better.

A few years ago I bought something over the internet. It was less than a hundred dollars and the guy was in the US. I emailed him many times and he was very good at replying. It was a good deal on something very rare that I wanted. I sent a check and waited. And waited. And waited. As I waited I sent emails asking what the holdup was. Every time he replied, all the email contained was smiley faces. The smiley faces really pissed me off.

Finally after three months of smiley face emails, I went to the Post Office and opened up a mail fraud case against him. About 6 weeks later I got my item so I filled out the Post Office paperwork and dropped my mail fraud claim. About 2 months later I got a frantic email from the shite head saying that the Post Office (working at typical Post Office speed, and unaware that their own records showed that the case had been resolved) had contacted him and he was being accused of federal mail fraud. He went on to say that he was a college student and couldn't afford a lawyer, that he had delivered my item, and pleaded with me to contact the Post Office to resolve the claim.

I sent him back an email with smiley faces. About a week later I got another frantic email begging me to take care of this as the Postal Inspector had contacted him again. I sent another email with smiley faces. A day or so later I got a truly desperate email. He was begging me and cursing me at the same time. Again I sent an email full of smiley faces. I never heard from him or the Post Office again. I still get a chuckle when I think of this.

Sorry for the thread jack.

I can understand making a thread to bash a company if they have repeatedly screwed you over on orders, or if numerous people have had problems. However, it just seems like you do not have any patience. Hasn't even been 30 days yet and you are acting like they aren't trying to fix it and leaving you high a dry. FedEx may have issued them a refund, but that also takes time for it to be delivered and processed accordingly.

Your bickering just seems premature, but I do hope your issue is resolved.

I don't think it's premature. He paid for his wheels. The company knows they are getting their money. They should send the wheel. What ever happened to customer service?

We have only heard one side of the story mate.

He paid for 4 wheels. They delivered 3 wheels.

4wheelonline is free to present their side of the story. I'll bet they don't.

I'd just tell him, listen, send me the wheel tomorrow or a fedex number to ship the three others back, or I can call Visa and protest this charge.

Your issues on who paid what claim to who is internal company shyte.

Which one would you like to do?

Thats wierd i ordered my rims from them. I got them in five days with a bunch of extra crap with them too.

With the way the economy is right now i can see why they are waiting to send you a replacement wheel. There are alot of dis honest people out the. NOT YOU but there are other people out there. Good luck hope it works out for you.

Thanks for the heads up.

I googled them and 6 out of the 10 links say "Avoid, Beware", lol, so it looks like your not the only one. Sux your having to go through all the bs.
gored....you sound like you might be wanting some new wheels!!!!! If you do, I'm interested in yours...
