Ok so I found the cause of my CIS. It is my B-pipes. I bought a set of walkers and put them on with my otherwise stock exhaust. I got CIS with nothing but these pipes changed.

Now...I see that I have to get rid of these but I have to put something there.

1. Would gutting the cats in my factory mid pipes resolve this?
2. If not then would a custom straight through mid pipe be the better option?

Has anyone here gotten rid of this annoying *** sound?

Its not always just the B pipes, as with a completely stock system, + 18" magnaflow muffler, I got cis...

The firing order of the Titan engine, small pipe size, lots of things.

Nor do I, and its wicked annoying, I'm gonna have a hard time trying to find out what exhaust to buy next.

Interesting, Have considered getting B-pipes myself but wouldn't want to change the tone of my exhaust It's perfect right now, Zero cis, and so deep and loud :).
Putting Resonated tips on seems to be a cure for alot of people though. I know that mine has none at all and I think it would without those tips.

Hey guys, sorry newb here, but I have to ask what does CIS stand for, and if I swap out my stock muffler and run a three inch pipe out with a tip on the end what should I look for and how would I know if I have CIS? Sorry, new guy I know lol!

Get some resonators and a big flow through muffler. CIS is annoying, sounds like a late 90's Dodge truck with headers or open exhaust lol
I thought about resonators...would they have a better effect before the mufflers or after?
If resonators are all i need then o dont see any harm in gutting the rear cats...worth a shot?

Yeah i had gutted cats and OEM B-pipes with resonators in them and a 22" Magnaflow muffler. I had almost non existent CIS. Even with LT headers and no cats. I say, take your OEM b-pipes, vut out the cats, and a install a resonator in the cat location. Or even some Dynomax Bullet muffler's in place of the cats

I will give it a go....

I will take before and after video to document.

I have zero cis with my flowmaster y pipe into the Banks monster muffler. It drones because it is dumped right out the muffler...just fyi for anyone lookin for cis free exhaust. And it felt much quicker compared to the flowmaster muffler.

I'd like to hear it, all the banks exhausts I have heard on youtube have sounded kind of funny. Could just be the fact that I'm not hearing them in person though...

banks cat back online = death. i hate it. not gonna lie though, my banks cat back on my old truck had cis, especially on the top end. i think its cause of the 3" piping. i have some sound clips on my photobucket, i should've taken some while driving so you can hear how growly it is under a load instead of just in park...first two are my new truck..Pictures by honda250xtitan - Photobucket you can compare to the popping in the third vid with a banks cat back wot run.

Dang, after listening to those again, it doesnt sound like that at all, its smooth like that, but soooo much deeper.

The first two sounded pretty good, again I would have to hear it in person I guess. The set up on your old T is what I'm used to hearing on the tube. Like I said though the first two sounded wayyy better.

If you want to eleminate CIS, dump the exhaust right after the muffler. If you can't dump it due to regulations, move the muffler as far back as possible that way you can shorten the pipe after the muffler as much as possible. I know here in NC you cant leagally dump the exhaust. The tailpipes have to exit the back end of the vehicle.
I recently changed from the Banks system to a custom setup using a Cherry Bomb Extreme with 3" in and dual 2.5" out. I moved the muffler back over the axle and only have about 2ft of tailpipe to exit right behind the rear passenger tire.
See this thread: http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tit...ons/119432-cherry-bomb-extreme-single-chamber-muffler.html?highlight=cb+extreme
There are video clips of my truck before and after and Eddies setup with it dumped. He has no CIS at all. Mine is tons better than before but still has some CIS due to the fact I could not dump mine. The video doesn't do it justice b/c mine was most noticable under power at full throttle so sitting in the driveway you can't tell the difference.
