I'm sure most of you know about the accident Tech12Volts had on the 4-wheeler a couple months ago... Well, that accident took it's toll in many ways, as you may well imagine.

Times are difficult and the wheels seem to have come right off the bus...

He's going to be out of the loop for a bit. To those who are waiting for sub boxes or products from him, I would ask you to please be patient. He will be in touch next week to discuss your options.

At this point, he needs our support more than criticism and bad attitudes. So please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers. If you have positive interactions with Tech to post here, that would go a long way to helping in the recovery. Thanks!

If there is a better place I can put this, please point it out.

I ordered my box around the time of the accident and I've been patient. I even gave him some suggestions in regards to his medical care after it happened. I'm a provider myself.

My issues aren't with timing, it's with that he's told me the box has shipped not once, but twice now, first starting in February, months after the accident. He told me the box was done, and shipped. The first time, he said he sent it fed-ex, and after at least 4-5 phone conversations, and numerous excuses ranging from jury duty to stuck out of town to something with school, I still had no tracking number, nothing. After almost 2 weeks, I finally got him to return a call and he said it was returned and fed-ex left a note on my door. I contacted fed-ex directly, they said no deliveries were made from fed-ex that week. So either Fed-ex lied to me, or He did.

He said again that fed-ex had screwed him, blah blah blah, he was shipping it out UPS. that was 10 days ago. again, 5+ phone calls, several voicemails, and a load of excuses, I still don't even have a tracking number.

I'm a patient man, but if he didn't lie to me, and the box is in fact done and on it's way, great.

If not, I need to start disputes with paypal and the BBB, which would be silly if the box is done.

TLDR: In the end, I understand He had an injury, but not answering calls, not communicating with me (other than to give me excuses about why he can't send me a tracking number), and not providing accurate information, especially after how much time has passed, is no way to conduct good business.

Good luck on getting it all sorted out ...and you only have 45 days from date of purchase to file with Paypal.

Hope your stuff shows up and you dont have to go that route:thumbup:

I've actually already talked to paypal, they told me they would allow me to dispute and help this get resolved, if I was unable to.

I really don't wanna go through that, it doesn't end well for anyone. I'd even be willing wait a while longer, I just want some communication and not more excuses. If he was honest with me from the start, I wouldn't have even posted this, but my tolerance for being jerked around only goes so far.

He was prompt when I delt with him years back, got my box and product within 3 weeks from ordering.

This is one reason I ordered from him, I heard nothing but good things, and the quality and fitment on the boxes were the best available.

I paid for my box on december 10th.

So I'm over 3 months in waiting.

Man forget that

I'm currently running a box by SD_titan and love it

I ordered mine in September and still no box here. I am getting very upset about it personally. I have spent almost $2k with him and this is the first real problem I have had.

I understand the accident but I have been told on more than once that the box has shipped but without any results. It is becoming to much and quite frankly I am on the verge of ordering a box from SD_Titan instead.

Emailed tech and he was very upfront with me about stuff. Tech is a great guy and going through some hard times.

Had acouple chats with him about products and he was really helpful and willing to help. Kinda lost alittle business by giving up after I asked acouple questions but I'm sure he gets it ALOT so i guess I understand. Anyway good guy to deal with and he's had a HUGE influence on this forum and I wish him only the best and hope that he gets better soon!

My own personal experience with him was very good. I ordered my box January of 2012 and got it February 2012 along with all the other toys I ordered from him. He was very helpful with all my questions and I sent him a lot seeing how I wanted to keep the same head unit and replace all the door speakers. The system sounds great. The sub is still hitting as hard and punchy as when I got it, and I mostly listen to thrash and death metal so I work it hard with the double bass drumming. I hope he gets better soon and want to thank him again for all his help!

I personally have had great experiences with him. Both personal and professional.

He has literally walked away from a family BBQ to walk me through an installation issue created by a sub par local installer. He has GIVEN AWAY numerous amps, subs, speakers, etc.. at at least 4 Titan meets that I have attended. His work is unbeatable. He is a perfectionist in the audio department.

On the personal side, he is one of the most involved fathers I know of. Into everything with his boys. Sports, school stuff, etc.. All Dads like to think they are super dad, but he goes the extra mile for his.

What ever his reasons for not being on the ball right now, I am sure they are justified. He's a good guy. Cut him some slack. A bit more slack if you think you've been wronged. He has done a lot for the Titan community. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who has done more. Everyone falls on hard times, be it health, financial or what have you. Just try to keep that in mind. If your not able to get ahold of him, PM me with how much $ you are out. I'm sure it can be worked out.

So He sent me a rather personal email today, which I don't believe should be public, but it details some things, and said I should expect a tracking number yet again by Wednesday.

We'll see how it goes, and I'll keep things updated as they develop.

Interesting that 5 out of your 6 posts on this forum have been negative, complaining about a vendor that has been here for many years supporting our community. Thanks for adding value, and welcome to TT.

Interesting in what way?

Because someone has been supporting for years means nobody has had problems? Or even registered because of said problems?

a quick forum search yielded 10+ threads of people who had problems with Tech12volt in the past, on this forum, and that was only the first page.

I was going to register on the forum anyway, but needing answers about my box just lit a fire under my ***. I'm already a premium member even.

I'm not an asshole and generally not negative, but I do have an annoying habit of telling it like it is, especially when it's something that negatively effects me, call it an old Army habit.

I do hope he comes through with my box, I'm a patient man, and if everything works out and doesn't fall through, I'll be happy to post praise. That being said, so far all I've seen up to this point is that I've given someone a nearly 4 month long extended loan, and that worries me. Not to mention the time I've lost in finishing just one part of this project has been on hold for so long.

Hopefully you'll get to see my better side after this situation resolves itself, I have big plans for my truck that I will be sharing on these forums. (already have some mods done :D)

shouldnt take 4 months to build and ship a speaker box

or in some other peoples cases - it doesnt take 6,7,8 or 9 months to build and ship a speaker box.

if hes not capable to build them because of injuries or disabilites he should be up front about it, not accept peoples hard earned money or they should be refunded.

/small business owner who would get dragged to court if i didnt produce in a timely fashion. ive built 6,000 sq ft houses in that amount of time! hell maybe i should start building speaker boxes i can crank a few out a week no prob

I heard about his accident, I also had a few issues with an RMA, I am still patiently waiting to get my sub back (even though getting the RA number took a few months) and I have yet to receive my sub after sending it out over a month ago, I am also patient with the fact that his replies are slow or sometimes non existent. Over all I am very happy with my purchase, I would just like to get my entire system up and running again, especially when it wasnt cheap to begin with.
