Have to get a head phone jack Amp/Booster,about $20 from Radio Shack, it plugs inline and battery powered.

The 04 is known to have the bad AUX in sounds. My 05 work great with my phone or iPod.

My 04' aux input sounds great still. I use it all the time, can't remember the last time I used thr 6-CD changer. lol
Never had much luck with it since 05...working the parts together to out a tablet and media reciever... Just rolled 99k. Going to try to get another 75k

Sooo I guess I'll ask the obvious. Did you turn the volume way up on your iPod?

Don't you cloud the issue with facts!
The volume might also be locked/limited in the menu.
