Oh Yeah! He was definitely there!!!

I didn't get to see much of the cars run cause we were in the staging lanes most of the time, but i did get pic's! ;)

I think i remember that Vette from the night out in Mexico!

It was Blue before the wrap right?

Yeah he was there that night. I guess he got sponsored by Mantic clutches or something. He is the guy putting on the meet this coming weekend to get stuff together for troops

yeah, but it would probably be the same price as making a Mustang handle nicely on the track and street right? Let's face it, Mustangs are pigs in corners and such compared to a Vette.
Not really. The stock 11+ GT out handles M3's. Newer ones aren't much of a pig. $1,200 in suspension and you've got a car that handles extremely well. There's a reason they're beginning to be used in lots of road races and auto X courses.

Weren't the first gen CTS-V's known for destroying the differentials?

Thanks Jdos. I guess that shows how much I've kept track of them. I got tired of all of the Vette vs. mustang articles where they bash the mustang. On top of that, most of the "VS" were always the GT500 type stangs against at the most the ZO6. Never something like the ZR1.

Yes, the caddies had problems with the transmissions I think when they were still running the 5.7. I "think" they changed something when they started with the 6.0. But, in all honesty, it's a crap shoot with diffs and such with any performance vehicle. Show me someone with a problem and I could probably show you 1000 without. Same ole same ole, you only hear about the problems....

Again, I'm just a fan of cars that you don't see as much. That and 4 doors. I've had coupes and two door pickups. They're just not that practical period. Plus, now that we have performance sedans like the caddy, why not get 4 doors.

Oh, that reminds me, there was a CTS-V wagon at the track too that wasn't running. What a sweet wagon!!!!

If you dont want a Mustang than dont get one. Yes the 5.0s are doing crazy things but sometimes that isnt all that makes you love a car. Like me, Im not in love with my car. I never thought I would own a Mustang since just like you, I thought everyone had one and it just wasnt my thing. Well I picked it up just because of the price I got it for. Yes its nice and I have had tons of fun with it but do I wish I could have bought something else? Yes. Im content, not in love.

Get what you truly think will make you happy. Go test drive Vettes and Mustangs on the weekends and dont make a decision until you really think you will be happy.

I know once Im done with with the Mustang, Ill be looking for a LS1 WS6.

Great advice bro.

Jon is married too Steve but look at him. He has an awesome wife though. You saying your wife isn't awesome? lol I'm gonna get you in the doghouse. Hope your wife doesn't look over your shoulder!
Jon may make more money then me, and my wife is not into cars, which really sucks.

The new GT 'stang actually handles as well or better then a new M3. Its an all great car, but, its like house shopping, not everything is what you picture yourself in. I actually like the Mustang's, and love the performance, but I just don't see me in one. Yeah! the carries a heavy premium. I did see one go for around 25-26k on the forums, and everyone was crapping their pants saying it was suck a low price.

Edit jdos beat me too the response lol

I do like the CTS-v's. I wont pay more then 17k for one though, which puts me in 04-05 range. Still the same HP but yes, glass rear ends. Not sure on the trans. When I look at GTO's or CTS-v's my search is mainly for well priced low mileage cars (rare) or low/mid priced cars with higher miles, but also have mods. There was a procharged GTO recently in my price range, that would have been cool.

Want to talk about indecisive, you wouldn't believe all the cars I have looked at for purchase. I looked at G35's/350Z's and how much for SCer, Audi A4's and all their different stage upgrades, as well as Audi S4's (B6 and B7) with the 4.2 V8. I was liking the S4 idea until I saw headers were like $2k+ and the SCer kit was $8k+. Besides that no one really does more then intake/exhaust/tune. Back LS2, and LS1's and Titans.

lol I remember when I was looking at the 4.2 S4 also but saw the mod costs and said hell no. I say you stick to your LSx cars. G/Zs are nice but is hard to get power out of them and is pretty expensive also. My buddy is building up his 07 350Z while we are out here. He got a full suspension package from Eibach, shorty headers(against my advise), Art pipes, Motordyne cat back and a real LSD. Lets see what it runs at the track after we get back.
