I just bought this Titan 2 weeks ago. It has 6" lift w/ 35x12.5's on stock rims. It looks ok, but it almost looks like the tires are "tucked under" the truck too much. I've seen trucks w/ aftermarket rims (20's I guess) that have a better looking stance than mine. Obviously, that's expensive and my tires don't have that many miles, so I hate to replace them. Does the truck just need a wider stance? I can't really figure out what it needs. Would spacers be a good fix?

I can't figure out how to post multiple pics at once so here is one pic.

I love this truck, commented on it the other day on here. I do however agree it needs wheels spacers to space the wheels out a little. I have an 08 PRO 4X, looks just like this one, minus the lift and tires. I'm planning on doing the RC 6" lift and keeping my factory wheels, I plan on running some sort of spacers but I'm not sure which ones to get either. I know the RC lift says to run wheels with 4.5" of backspace I think, and I think the factory PRO 4X wheels are like 5.5" or something, so I know I will need some sort of spacer, just not sure of what size of spacer to get to get the stance I want. I'm keeping an eye on this thread too hoping someone out there knows how to run this setup.

Don't do spacers. Get what the last poster said. The adapters are safer. You don't have to get new tires when you get wheels. You just need a more aggressive offset and backspacing to push the wheels out if you do get new wheels instead of the adapter.

Truck looks good. I would do a little research and see how well the smaller gears work with a 6" lift and 35" tires. I think most have done well but some have also put in bigger gears.

I think your truck looks great! I would keep it as-is, but if you need the wheels to stick out farther, then you could get adapters. But make sure you check into local laws, because there are lots of places where you can get a fine for having tires sticking out past the fenders. If that is the case in your area, you will need to get some fender flares (bushwacker makes good ones) if you decide to use wheel adapters.

He has a pro-4x, so even though it is not big tow, he already has the 3.36 gears. I would say no need to get taller gears unless he lifts more and moves up to 37" tires.

Oh ya. Didnt notice the sticker or the lack of chrome.

If you have the $ get some aftermarket 18's ... 18x9 +18mm offset will stick the rims out an extra 3/4" past the stock rims' edge, while a 9" width rim with -12mm offset will stick the outside edge of the rim out by 2" more than stock. The -12mm will probably require the PWM, (see the last link of my sig).

Problem with adapters and spacers both, is that many tire shops will not touch them, so rotations, etc. are now owned by you. You need a second set of rims even to buy tires from some of them as they will mount new tire to a rim, but won't put the rim on your truck if it has adapters, and won't even let you mount it to the truck on their property.

I just looked up adapters and spacers. They look pretty much the same, other than that adapters can change the bolt pattern. Why are adapters better if all you want to do is move the wheels out a bit?

The stance looks perfect to me, I wouldn't change a thing.

Nice one!

In for info!!!!
Because would like to get fender flares one day, just cause I like the look. But I would want the wheels to fill the extra fender area too. I know I ran spacers and longer studs on my 370z with no problems. But I know trucks are a whole other monster that I'm just now learning about with the purchase of my Pro4X a few weeks back.

First off I too agree that your truck looks good as is but if you want a wider stance the Bora (BulletProof Off road Adapters) wheel adapters have the best rep in the Titan community, so far there have been no negative reviews or feedback from anyone on TT running them to include myself.
Do remember what others have said about the laws of your wheels sticking out passed your fenders in certain states and also the part that most tire places won't do tire rotations, patches or anything like that, on the other hand I've taken mine to two off road shops and they have no problem doing it.
Here is what we are talking about when we say spacers which some use the word interchangeably with adapters...
DO NOT USE THESE \/\/\/

Adapters have their own lug studs...
Hub centric is the best way to go to prevent any possible vibration or loosening of lug nuts, BORA is one of the only companies that will make custom wheel adapters for you at any thickness you want up to 5" thick, and hub centric to any bore size.

Ultimately if it was me though seeing you have stock wheels I would just pick up some new 18x9" or 18x9.5" wheels with around a 0 to a -12 offset.

I was pulled over for having my wheels sticking out (just a fix it ticket) and it was explained to me like this: since ur also in California u need to have the entire tire tread width covered from the center of the wheel on up.
I just bought 2 rubber door mats an duct taped em to the wheel wells an took sum pics to get the ticket written off. $10 at Home Depot plus u can return em when ur done with ur little legal photo shoot.
