Hi guys, I have a 2006 Titan LE with the Rockford Fosgate HU and I recently replaced it with a JVC HU.

I am now trying to install the Axxess steering wheel control adapter. I already read through every past post related to this and can't find a clear cut way of installing it.

I have not been able to find the 24 pin connector the install instructions specify tapping into.

Can anyone help?

There's a plug that goes to the top/right of the OEM bezel, it's only 12 pins going to the bezel. Trace that back to the origin and locate the corresponding wires.

Here, this thread has good info

Great, thanks! I will try this tonight. I did find the plug, but it is not connected to my new head unit. Does that matter? Will it still allow me to use the steering wheel controls even if it is not connected to the head unit?

It doesn't connect to the new head unit, so you're good. One wire (green/blue) from your head unit connects to your Axxess harness (brown IIRC) to tell the new head unit what to do.

Edit: go ahead and open this up on your phone or laptop before you start. It'll help.

Thanks for the help everyone! Following the instructions, how do you just connect the wires to the harness plug? I do not like the idea of cutting the plug off. Do you just mash the wires into the plug. If so, how are they secured in place?

I used wire connectors like this:

Great idea with the wire connectors! The instructions mention in #2 to connect the red wire of the ASWC to a 12 volt accessory wire that turns on and off with the ignition. Do you remember which you used?

I tried jamming my multimeters prong inside the plug but its not thin enough to make contact.
