Will going from 2.94 to 3.36 help me enough to justify the cost? I have to keep cruise with my 2wd but with close to 35's will it help my mileage any?

Given the mileage difference between the two gears on otherwise identical trucks of only about 1 mpg, you probably won't see an improvement of more than that. And you will lose your cruise control.

yes it will help a lil, so will true trac. you might as well install it while you got stuff going on bk there. worth every penny

True Trac isn't going to help his mileage at all. It'll keep his TCS from kicking on should he break the rear loose.

well it helped me when i had it so .... ... ;-)

I'm gonna cry:crying::crying::crying:I miss your truck

but once the build starts we'll be cool again.

lol, this one will be a lot easier to get parts for...kinda

Derailed thread is derailed  :hi:

Op. I doubt it'll help much. Be more of a pain than a gain IMHO.

Someone wanna explain to me how changin gears will disable the cruise control? Not trying to be a smartass...just a newb eager for knowledge. I put 4.10's in my mustang and the cruise works fine. Speedo? Eh...not so much. I realize the 2 vehicles r entirely different...but still.

The speed sensors in the wheels send information to the ECU. The ECU is flashed specific to the gear ratio.

currie makes a rear end for titans that allows you to retain cc
