There are a few people now with the Stillen supercharger on their Titan's. The thing that has me baffled is why they haven't taken them to the track yet? I've searched here and on ClubTitan, but no one has provided any track times yet.

If I plunked down over $6,000 to get a supercharger for my Titan, I'd be chomping at the bit to go to the track to see what kind of times it could run.

I'm not sure if I'm out of line or what. But, does anyone else find it odd or curious that the few people who now have the supercharger haven't provided any track times yet? :dunno:

Well, it could be because of the time of year.

Most live in colder climates and the tracks are closed right now.

Even randyrw who has the turbo set-up said he took his to a track and the conditions were bad when he went.

I think if we give them till spring, then we hammer'em for time slips!!

I am getting my kit installed in the next week, and will definetly take it to the track. Right now, the track (bandimere speedway in Denver) is closed until the weather warms up. When they open up I will take my truck down there and run it. I don't really no about times but maybe mid to high 13's. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Elevation again will be your big obstacle.

I would also like to ask Kyle at stillin how his truck (that he offered to sell to the lottery winner dude) is getting 450 hp to the wheels. What did he do that got_titan didn't........maybe stage 2?

I was thinking the same thing but bit my toungue. Especially how is he doing it with the larger wheel and tire combo. If he's putting that down with his current wheel and tire combo then someone with the stock tires should get another 10-20 possibly.

kyle i believe is running the stillen long tubes and got_titan still has the factory airbox i believe, where as kyle has all the bolt on's plus the sc

that being said i would think the said "stage 2" would be closer to 500-510 rwhp.....i've heard rumors of it being 10psi and if thats the case the 500+ numbers look good

Hey guys,

Just caught this thread so I thought I'd update all of you. I am not running the long-tube headers on my truck, and I still have the Stage 1 kit. I have 420 HP at the rear wheels...I don't think I've said 450 but if I have sorry about the confusion. Also if you have the 4WD you can lose a couple of horsepower through the transfer case (Got titan is 4wd)...similar to the affect you see from an automatic and manual vehicle...manual will always dyno higher. When we've tested my truck we always tested it with the stock wheels and tires. Not everyone has lift kits so we wanted to get as close to what the majority of you will be working with.

Thanks,
Kyle

nice, i thought your extra power was from the long tubes.......any idea how much more a supercharged 2wd could look at with the long tubes?

Sorry...

I forgot to post quarter mile times

These times come from a highly respected automotive magazine. I can't say which one until the article comes out. I don't want to give you all their information before they have a chance to.

0-60 was 6.03 seconds
1/4 mile was 14.25 seconds

This is your truck, in it's super heavy form correct? So the 4x2 guys in lighter trim can expect quite a bit more?

i would think with all the suspension stuff he has done it adds about 200lbs.......i'm thinking a s/c'd titan is good for high 13's

Parts weight of all his add ons plus the unsprung weight of larger/heavier wheel tire combo and we are talking major power zapping.

yea i'd like to know how he got the 420.........was it on factory wheels? and was the 1/4 done with all the mods on the truck

Thats not bad, But I would expect a little better with that under the hood. Around a sec. diff. is'nt that good for 6 grand. I would at least want to see a high 13. Did they use a 2WD or 4? Can you give us that info?

That's not a bad time considering it's a 4x4 that's bloated with another 600 lbs half of which is unsprung. This kit should shine on a 4x2, I don't see a reason why it can't hit mid 13s depending on trim.
