I am in the process of replacing the driver's window lift motor. When I took off the door panel the item in the pictures fell out. I don't have a clue where it goes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I looked on the door diagrams and I don't see a spring called out as an individual part. I would look at the inside door latch mechanism.

Even though it's probably a pain in the butt... I would pop off the passenger side door panel and have a look to see if it's in there. Should be identical, but reversed mechanisms. My guess is, it has something to do with one of the door handles, as they seem to have some kind of spring tension on them... good luck !!

It would be funny if the same spring fall out on the passenger side. Lol

No way. NOBODY has that kind of bad luck like I do. :(

That right there is a dingle hopper.

All joking aside, I swear a piece that looked exactly like that came out of my overhead console. It was a hinge where it snaps in.

It would be helpful if you placed a known sized object (like a quarter or something) next to it, so we can determine the size of it. It could be an extra spring tossed inside the door by a disgruntled worker at the Titan factory. Do they still do that these days??? lol!

I agree, I believe it is the tension spring on the over head console door for the "sunglass" compartment (That little compartment above the rearview mirror). Mine still opened slowly after spring fell out so I never tried to put it back in.

Fixed!!! This is a spring that provides tension on the interior door handle. There is a pin that holds it in place. My pin was in place so I don't know how the spring was free. The pin also keeps the handle from being loose. Nonetheless here is a picture of the pin and spring correctly installed.
