got the choice between 4x4 bigtow and off road with big tow. I dont see myself going off road that much and thinking the extra 1,000 =more mods. Anybody wish they would of got off road too.:hat:

The big tow and off road pkg have the same lower gear ratio. My truck has both options but if I had to do without one I would rather have the tow pkg.

If I got a 4wd, I would probably get the off road, I think it has a slightly more rugged look.

I have both and while I very seldom go off road, it a Southern (red neck country)thing to get all you can if you can afford it. Help with resale on down the line. I just don't count pennys when it comes to my car or truck. I really think the Rancho shocks are a little stiff for my likes.

the '07 4x4 comes with no hint that it is a 4x4 except a slightly higher stance, and it comes with Skid plates and tow hooks.

The off road package will get you the bigger gear in the rear...the 4.10, same as the towing package. You get different shocks with the off road package too.... oh and the decals that tell everyone you've got the off road package.

With the OR package on the 4X4 you get 17" wheels instead of 18" wheels with their low sidewalls. There are no 4:10 gears in a Titan. With OR or BT you get 3:36 gears, which Nissan says are equivalent to others 4:10 with their 4 speed tranny.

I have a 4x4 LE with no BT and no OR. I couldn't get the tow package due to clearance issues with the mirrors and my garage, but I do wish I had gotten the OR package. The 17" wheels have a lot better tire choices, and the lower gears and locker would have been nice when needed.

No big deal though, I have the factory hitch, and am thinking of adding a trutrac soon which is much better than a locker IMO, and I am still looking for a good deal on the OR wheels on the forums. Anybody want to part with theirs?!?!

Get both you can't go wrong. With the Big Tow you get the trans temp guage, and the tow mirrors which is helpfull for more than just towing. The heavy skidplates work great, especialy saving the front center edge of your bumper when you do something stupid. Handles great with the Rancho's and different springs. Lets just say if you are in south Mississippi and a silver Titan comes up on you on a back road with blue strobes on don't try to out run it. If you actually do, you can't outrun the radio.
And many other reasons including the locker and lower gears.

I wish I had the e-locker. My '04 had it and it got me out of some nasty spots more than once. Only thing that I wish I had. Since I have the same gearing, some day I will add the trutrac.

I have the BT on my 04' and I prefer it over the OR package. I do alot of towing and I haul alot of weight in my truck. It wasn't worth the price for some stickers and skid plates. Does the OR come with Dana's front and rear like mine has? Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't there been more problems with the rear ends on the OR packages? Knock on wood, I haven't had a single problem with mine and I have over 50,000 miles on it. I would say go with which ever option suites you and what you do!

i'm going BT and OR. not only for the 4.10 gears but also for the locker that comes w/ the OR package.

I ended up getting the Off Road with Big tow, and love it. I like the upgraded suspension. Rides nice.

i think the OR package is worth it...even just for the locker

i got both the OR and BT bc i knew if i didn't get them both i would have ended up starting threads just like this one :upsidedow

Nope, didn't need the locker. I had my eyes on doing a brake upgrade at some point in time. With the 17" wheels on the off road package, a wheel upgrade would be in order for bigger brakes. Not so with the 18" wheels. I figure I would make more use of better brakes than a locker.

Im coming from an o5 le no tow or off road and now I have an 07 le with bt and or and Im not happy with the ride at all. to harsh of a ride for me, the only reason I got or was because thats what was available and I had to get bt in order to get the sunroof. I am looking to get the smoothest riding shocks and hope I dont have to change out my springs. the other thing is the mickey mouse mirrors are so big they create a lot of wind noise.

I had to do it over I would not have gotten bt or off road

I have the bt and the off road, and love the mirrors. I don't hear any noise from my mirrors.
