I got this same issue. I've replaced the solenoid(though it wasn't the redesigned part), but it still happens. I don't think the part was bad. I'll have to look at the hoses and canister. Has anyone tried any sort of elimination method? For instance, I hook everything up, except leave the solenoid unplugged from the canister. Solenoid still operates as usual, this would just negate the canister. Just wondering if anyone has done anything like that.
Also, when pulling off the connector, it was stuck on from dirt, ect; and the wires pulled out. I pulled the connector apart and re-crimped everything. So, the connector "could" be an issue, but things are working the same as before I replaced the part. Is there a particular order for the wires? I didn't think so as the part is a simple "on/off" operation.
I think I am going to pull the solenoid from the canister this weekend and see what happens. Worth a try I suppose. Might not help, but it's winter here and I don't have a garage big enough for this thing; so I'd like to try and pinpoint where my issue lies instead of lying on cold cement.
