I am having trouble finding some good shocks for the Titan. I have the stocks ones still but they are too bouncy and have been wearing out. I am wondering if the 2004-2015 shocks would would as well? I’m looking at the stage 2 icons if they do fit. Any help on this would be appreciated

The Gen1 shocks won't work. If you haven't tried the Bilstein 5100s, that would be my recommendation.

Shocks are so backed up on shipping, eBay may be your best option. I ended up mixing 5100 in the rear and 6100 in the front. I expect the ride quality should be pretty good. I combined this with a rough country 3 inch lift since the clearance is minimal for bigger tires even by adding the 6 inch lift.

Ya I was looking at the 6100 for the front and the 5160 in the rear. I actually fit 34.5 in ridge grapplers on my truck with a level lift and trimming of the front bumper

Ya I was looking at those but want something a little more beefy. Not sure if the bilstien 6112 are an option
I can't speak to the 6112 series, but my experience from using the 5100s so far is they are tough and will stand up to a lot of "full extension to bump stop" off-roading in my 2011. I'm running tires about the same size as you describe (295/70r18 which are 34.3x11.8) and have no issues with the 5100s handling everything I've thrown at them.

Good to know! I assume you have the stock springs?

Yes - I swapped my springs from the old Ranchos to my new 5100s in my shop and installed the lift and everything myself.

Question to you or anyone else running the 6110 Bilsteins. I'd originally planned on running them in the front with either 5100 or 5160 shocks in the rear on my 2021 P4X, on top of a Fabtech 6" lift. My plan was to run these Bilsteins at +0 heights (no added lift), and use the lift kit for the lift. However, my installer had the following feedback:

Yes, they can be set at stock height, but they are designed to have more travel than stock so when you set it at a higher setting, they still have down travel. They might be OK on the Titan but when I used them on a customer's Tacoma, they had too much travel and the CV boots only lasted a little over 18 months due to the extra travel. Even on my girlfriends 4Runner with a 2.25 spacer with the 5100's when I put it on my vehicle lift the CV starts to bind at full droop. Plus, if you want to get the coil overs later, I would just use the stock front ones for now. A lot of people never go off-road so if you don't flex it, they would probably be ok.

He's done a lot of work on my Xterra and Jeep previously, so I trust his guidance. But, he's admittedly not done these Bilsteins on a Titan before, so I'm trying to find someone with experience with that setup.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.
