U have Nitto tires.. truck have a lift and are tires stock size
Truck is all stock. They replaced the factory General tires because one of them was bad. They told me they were putting new tires on it, part of the truck purcahse deal, and when I picked it up there they were. Not impressed with them. Definitley a highway tire, although the tread is a mile deep. But they ride and drive like crap.

I've not been impressed with Nitto in the past. I installed their Terra Grappler G2's a few years ago and had Discount Tire replace them after a few weeks. They were loud, did poorly in wet conditions and couldn't track a straight line on the highway. The Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S that replaced them were better in every respect.

+1 on the battery.

Also, those Nitto Crossteks are hot garbage. The dealer literally got the cheapest tires they could find with a “name” brand. I know it sucks to replace brand new tires on a truck you just bought, but start with good quality tires before messing with the suspension. Even if it doesn’t fix all the drivability issues, it will help, and your mechanic will be better able to track down any suspension issues without tire issues muddying the waters.

Just to add to my previous post, when I bought my truck it had some no-name 34” tires which I replaced after about a month with Yokohama Geolandar G015s in P4X stock size. The truck immediately drove significantly better, quieter, and gained 2 mpg. That’s just my experience with changing from a crappy tire to a good tire, but the point is, upgrading your tires may go a long way toward fixing your drivability issues if not clear them up completely.

As stated in the title, I've had my 2022 Titan Pro4X for exactly 2 months and it has been less than stellar. I'm starting this thread to track the repair process, good or bad, and to maybe help other owners that might be experiencing the same issues. I going to say right up front, I think this truck has the potential to be great. The power and driveability of the engine and transmission are excellent. Far, far better than the 2022 F150 I traded in. The Fender audio is just enough for me, and the seats are the best I've ever had in a vehicle, bar none. The cab is reasonably tight and quiet. Better than some, worse than others.
Now the not so good. The steering is INCREDIBLY "twitchy". So much so as to be difficult to keep centered in a lane on the highway. I am constantly having to make very small corrections. It's like it needs more caster in the front end. Sometimes I also get a very unsettling feedback through the steering wheel that almost feels like a lane-keep-assist correction but not as strong. Not the vibration warning, but the actual nudge in the steering. It'very slight, but it IS happening and contributes to the difficult driving. The dealership, Machens Nissan in Columbia Missouri, put 4 new Nitto Crossteck II tires on it when i bought it. I have a feeling they are to blame for at least part of this. I had them re balance them and supposedly check the front end alignment for a slight pull to the left, but it didn't help anything. Now, as annoying as the driving experience is it doesn't leave me stranded. However..............
The electrical gremlins have left me stranded 3 times in the past week. This started out when I was sitting in the truck waiting for a business to open. Truck was in accessory mode and I was listening to the radio for about 20 minutes or so. Turned off truck, went in and took care of some business, came back out after maybe 5 minutes, and she was dead as a fence post. Called my wife, she drove 15 miles to where I was, and we jumped it off her car. Everything was fine for a few days, but then I was sitting in it while on break at work, talking to my wife on the phone through the bluetooth/infotainment, with the truck in accessory mode again, this time only 5 minutes. Went to start it later and was dead as a post again. Fortunately I had just bought a NOCO 1000 amp jump pack because of this (which, by the way, is great and I will now have one in every vehicle I own) and jumped it with that. Was all good the rest of the day. The next morning I noticed it was maybe a little slow on the crank, but it still started ok. Drove 30 miles to town, parked truck for maybe 15 minutes and it was dead again. This time I noticed while jumping it there was something buzzing on the passenger side of the engine. I'm not very familiar with the engine compartment yet, so I really don't know what it was. Jumped it, left it running at the remaining stops I had and went home. On the way home a lot of warning lights were on and the cruise wouldn't work. Just a sidebar for the guitar players among us; the Nissan warning lights remind me of the symbols on a Orange guitar amp LOL! If you know, you know. Anyway.....Got back home, shut it off, re-stated it and everything was fine again. No warning lights, cranked right over and started. Haven't tried yet this morning.
Then there is the fuel mileage. The very best highway mileage I have seen is 13.1 hand calculated. Always hand calculated. The computer is waayyyy off. I know it's a truck and all that and I'm 58 years old and don't drive them hard anymore. 12-13 highway mpg is unacceptable. I hear these trucks are bad about cracking exhaust manifolds. Maybe that's what happened and it's throwing the O2 sensors off??? Just speculating. Dealer will check this out too.
Sorry for the long winded post, but I wanted to get this out there in case somebody else is having these same problems. I will keep this updated as the saga unfolds.
I mightve been the only one that got the Orange guitar amp reference lol. But all symptoms point towards a bad vehicle battery. As far as the lane centering issue. I've had the same problem in my Ram, chevy colorado, and titan. The Titan is the least noticeable out of those three for having to keep making minor corrections on the highway. All Terrain tires can also attribute to this.

Roger that. Nor impressed with the Nittos. Always been a Goodyear man myself, with Cooper as #2.

Yep. I did a little research on the Crossteks and if memory serves they were a "house brand" Nissan. Replacing them will be the first major "mod".

Update: Got the truck back today. They said the battery was bad and replaced it. I also had them investigate the poor mpg's and here is what they said; "Test drove vehicle and performed vehicle checks. Found that the tire selection is heavy for this vehicle and will effect fuel economy" When I asked for more detail they said the tires on it are LT (light truck) and they should be P (passenger). I guess they come from the factory with passenger tires, I checked a couple of new ones before I left. I've seen mpg drop going to an all terrain tire from a highway tread, but not from switching to a LT tire from a passenger. And I'm fairly certain a different tire will fix my handling issues too. Anyway....I'm happy to have it back and will switch tires as soon as I can afford to. Even with these relatively minor issues I still like the truck and hope to have it for many years to come. And so does my banker $$$. LOL! And thanks for all the great feedback. There are some very knowledgeable people on here.

Yea I called it...battery. LT tires are heavy as hell. You're talking about an average of a 10 pound difference per tire. But LT tires don't effect handling and drifting in the lane like what you were talking about unless you're using improper tire pressure. Your cold PSI should be about 45 psi if they're stock size in LT (E-Rated load).

If u want to keep an LT tire the Bridgestone Dueler Revo are the lightest LT tire on the market.. I think the Firestone XT is also pretty light…

Agreed. We just put new tires on my wifes Hyundai Tuscon. I've put many new sets of tires on vehicles over the course of life, but I'm still always amazed at the difference quality tires make over worn, or cheap, tires. It drives like a new one again. I also have a relative that runs the Yokohama Geolander you mentioned and he loves them. I'm considering them.

Glad you got that fixed

Toyo open country at3 is another that's a little lighter than others in LT form.
I have these on my 23’ Rock Creek Pathfinder. They aren’t “light” compared to other tires - but compared to others they are “slightly” lighter. They are sweet tires though, but they are expensive.

After reading through this post and realizing that my Nissan battery in my 2020 P4X may be original, I bought an AGM replacement battery today. Man, does it crank now......I thought my cranking speed was getting slower and now I can really hear the difference. Probably a good idea that I did it. Nearly 4 years on the original is plenty good.

I don't know what to think. In the past my 95Mark VIII Lincoln's battery lasted 11 years and my 2005 Dodge Magnum RT's battery lasted 10 years? I'll be listening for a slower start from now on.

What brand of battery did you end up going with?
