I'm Brand New, just bought a 08!

hello everybody,

i'm so fired up! finally after a long long wait i pulled the trigger today. i was going to buy a 07 but really wanted the LWB 08 so i waited until today. i live in indianapolis and i will probably be the first guy out there with the long wheel base. not a single dealer in indiana had lwb in anything but pro x in cloth and only one dealer had that!

i got a dealer today to do a dealer to dealer trade with a dealership in wisconsin. i bought a galaxy black LE Crew Cab 4X4 LWB for the dealer invoice of $34,083 + $745 destination fee. they are driving up tomorrow to get it and i pick it up saturday morning!!!!!!!!!!! woo hooooooo

they arent gonna put it on a transport...


they are gonna put undue miles on the truck?

i would tell them no

or give you more money off, or throw in something in place of the extra milage

either way congrats

i tried to get something extra off but it wasn't gonna happen. no other dealer in town would make a dealer to dealer trade for me for dealer invoice so i went ahead and bought. probably 300 miles but i can live with that. i have had my 97 tahoe now for 10 years and it only has 100K so i don't drive a lot so i can live with the extra miles.

nice, i remember on the road the other day i saw a dodge diesel pulling a 08 lwb pro4x.. not too long after that i saw one totaled on a trailer.. its was efffed up.. the drive had to have been hurt bad..

I had to have my 08 brought in to the tune of 300 miles also. I hear what your saying about the dealers not dropping anymore on the 08's. With all the 07's to clear out, and sales being down for the year. Consider that they have to pay someone to go and get the vehicle, pay for the gas, and then wash and clean it all over again. We thought about going and getting the truck ourselves until we started adding up the costs. We let the dealer pay the additional cost.
You will love the truck. I have not had the opportunity to ride in any of the previous years so I can't compare. However, the improvements on the 08 are what really sold us, In light of the Tundra, this truck (Titan) may be the most overlooked and underrated truck on the market.

Hopefully they bumped up the paint on the 08' or your gonna get some paint chips . But there inevitable anyway.

welcome to the family old-skewl!! thanks to all of our growing pains you should have a flawless titan! you're gonna love it! hell, i got mine in February of 04, just months after it was unveiled and i still love my baby!! i love turning the key and hearing the exhaust roar out the Banks on every start-up!

wish mine had a few more miles on it, it was at 5 when I got it and I need it to be at 500 real quick I gotta tow my car to Washington for a move.

hey guys,

i have a question. i did not get the navigation gps option. i just got the base LE with the tow package. but since there are no 08's on the lot for me to look at until i get mine tomorrow, i was wondering after i read the specs what the multifunction work station is that comes standard in the LE? will i still get a color lcd monitor like my wifes murano has? my wifes murano has the 7.0 inch color lcd monitor that tells tire pressure, oil changes etc., also, the specs say i get wood trim on the LE. just wondering. i'll definately find out tomorrow but i'm curious.if i get a smaller screen for the maintenance reports or no screen at all since i didn't take the navigation package.

wow, that'd be cool if the new titans get one like the Murano's. it wadn't a DVD/Nav screen but it was cool to have the screen nontheless on the Murano rental cars i got when i had service done to my Titan. hope you get it!!
