Yes. That's why you should install the new bumpstops. Is it a PRG kit? If so, install the bumpstops. If it's a lesser kit, you need to go out and buy new bumpstops.

No, think the other direction. When the wheel drops (not compresses towards the bumpstop), the upper arm hits the coil bucket lip. A new bumpstop wouldn't solve this

But yes, it is the PRG kit.

Did you put the 2WD kit on a 4x4?

Hmmmmm... sounds suspicious... Take a measurement of the spacer thickness and call Greg. It may have been packaged incorrectly. Or he may hav other suggestions for you. Sorry. Can't think of anything else right now.... :dunno:

Ugh... I really don't want to install it again. Unfortunately i won't be back to my truck till next weekend..

Take some pics too. That might give an indication of what's going on under there.

This seems to be more common on 4x4's than 4x2's. Correct kits being installed in both, you don't hear about many of the 2WD's hitting the coil bucket. I think Greg does offer an even slightly thinner spacer than the one for the 4WD though.

I just put one of Greg's 2"LK's on my truck last week & I have the same problem. My first thought was that they sent me the wrong kit. I talked to Greg about it & he told me it's probably bad front shocks. I only have 16K miles on it & that seems premature to me. He also told me he would send the smaller kit if I want. I think it's a 1.3" spacer.

It's normal. Mine hit the coil bucket at full droop. I wouldn't sweat it man.

Unless you are jumping you will pretty much never be at full droop
High bank railroad tracks + stoopid = some air. But I only did it a couple times.:D

No jumping in my truck, but the roads around here *suck* and i've apparently hit full droop a few times - as there are knicks in my coil bucket to prove it.

I'm not so much worried about hitting it as much as i'm a little worried about damaging the upper arms when it happens.

maybe i'll just live with it for now.

correct you are catching air,

you need taller spindles

(if you keep catching air)

if not the bolts myt break (i think)

just dont drive so fast on a pot hole strewn road, you gotta be hitting them at a high rate of speed, i dont slow down like a low rider and i have no problem

my best advice is taller spindles or try not to jump crap...

By coil bucket banging issue has lessened after having the LK on for a couple weeks. I'm not sure why though. Maybe I just don't pay attention to it as much?
