Update for you guys that care......

I got the screen on Friday. Man this thing is Huge. Test fit picture for y'all. I have somewhat documented photos, but they are at work. Just a pic at its current stage of fab.

now I just need to know where to put the ac controls??????? any suggestions. I was thinking of putting it where the 12v outlet/towmode button goes.

If you want to be real adventerous, try and move the ac controls up where the sunglass holder is.

thanks man... you need to be on crack to do this kind of work. A lot of tweeking involved, sanding, building, sanding, sanding, then building again, and more sanding. I'm sure that any Audio installer can vouch for this.

update.....

in the final stages of prep/sanding. going to paint tonight. I found an auto paint thats close to the stock finish, but its a tad darker. I hope that everything matches up, if not I guess I will be painting the rest of the trim the same color. will post some pice later tonight

Sorry guys, been busy these past couple of days. here are a few pics of the almost finished bezel. I got fed up with all the sanding and not being able to get it right, so I just painted the damn thing. I don't really like how it came out around the ac controls.

now just got to sand and buff the bastard. I hope to have some pics of the LCD installed tomorrow.

That looks good man, cant wait to see the screen in it.You could put a piece of trim behind the a/c controls maybe? to cover up the bad spots. maybe carbon fiber or somethin?

question.....whats the max screen size we can put in the dash w/o having to relocate AC controls and such??? i have the scoshe or metra double din bezel in mine now, and was thinking about a carputer setup myself. i found an 8inch touchscreen that i think should work, but i figured it would be safest to ask you guys here first.
