I was suprised today when I saw my tread ?(all four) as low as they were. What is the average life of the stock BFG tail tires?

Folks here are always complaining about them, but I have 26k on mine and many miles left, even the little cross lines are still on mine. A buddy of mine has the same tire and mostly highway driving he has 38k on his and they look as good as mine. All in how you rotate, balance and tire pressure and driving styles.Jeostang said:I was suprised today when I saw my tread ?(all four) as low as they were. All the correct balancing, rotating and air pressure couldn't help those POS tires. I also spent a lot of time off the pavement which may explain why myself and many others got horrible mileage out of them. Actually, it was probably the worst tire I have had on a vehicle.
I replaced them with the BFG AT KO tires and now have 32,000 miles and they still look like new.

They have been threatning to make it tougher for years, it seems like all they care about is window tint, and cracked windsheilds. The shop I usually go to has me put the sticker on the window while he does the paperwork.CHEIF said:Enjoy it while it lasts, 'The MAN' seeks out, and eventually spoils all things good. :teeth:
You may not think so but, all states will fail you for excessive tire wear.helomech said:Wow they check your tires for the inspection, here they just make sure the lights and horn work, then they check for insurance and thats it.
I have never heard of anyone being failed in my area for anything except windsheilds, window tint, or no insurance. My old yard truck has metal belts showing on the tires, and no catalytic converter, and it still passes everytime I bring it in.HudsonValleyTitan said:You may not think so but, all states will fail you for excessive tire wear.
