Nissan uses the same oil filter for all engines I believe… so it should work.

if it screws on and the contact surface diameter is the same you are good to go.

 

This is only slightly true. They use the same thread pattern however the size of the filters varies based on the size of the engine. My Titan filter is an inch longer than my Murano filter. Now the murano, maxima, frontier and v6 obviously uses the same filter as it’s the same engine. But size is different.

 

Its mind boggling, though, how many different part numbers have come across for basically the same filter.

So, a Supersession would be a NEWER part number, correct?

I think you mean" superceded", not "supersession", which means that long list are the OLDER part numbers.
