I bought my Titan 2-1-04, I've gone in for the recalls but aside from that have had no problems with my truck. I was wondering if anybody could give me any advise on what to look out for, as well as what kind of mods I should look into installing myself. I've got a 2wd SE and I'm thinking maybe 4" suspension lift, anything I should make sure I take care of if I under take that? I have the K&N intake as well as a Flowmaster but the engine could stand some more pep. Thanks for any help and opinions.
just hit 103,000 4/9/07

with 97,000 miles and still going you just might be well ahead of most of us and maybe we should be asking you what to look out for. you are also close to 100,000 miles so i guess you should be thinking about a tune up soon, that will give you the pep you are missing. other than that, after 97,000 miles i wouldnt change a thing. just keep us posted when you hit the 100,000 mark and good luck.

Ah, another mileage thread! I can contribute here.

I just turned 82,000, brought it home 7/5/04. Brake fix and fluids is all I have done. I am going to replace the plugs soon. I love my "mobile office".

97,000???? Does your truck ever cool off? I drive a ton, you must be behind the wheel constantly.

I have heard about Radiator probs, rear end, rear seals and other such stuff... It makes me worry about it, but all seems well so far. I am also nuts about keeping it clean, so it still looks good too!!! Resale value? Probably drive it till the wheels fall off.

This thread got me thinking...

Is there anyone out there with an '04/'05 that has 4x4, Big Tow, Off Road and E-lock and has higher mileage (beyond 70,000) and has towed a lot of heavy loads without any rear differential issues?

I'm debating on whether or not I should hold onto my '04 after the 60,000 mile warranty is up.

I have an 05 CC LE BT with over 76000 miles with alot of towing and no problems yet. I have a slight leak from the lower radiator hose that's all... I love my Titan so much I don't even care about the 07 tundra:D

Do you have the e-lock?

I have towed a lot also, but it has only been a 2000 lb. camper.

I'm interested in those that have consistently pulled loads between 6,000-9000 lbs. and have 4x4, e-lock and BT and an '04/'05 model.

From what I can tell on the differential thread, that combination in the Titan seems to be where most of the differential problems are.

I have 57,000 on my `04 LE 4X4 BT OR CC-(born: 2/04), it has VDC, no E-locker and i have on many occasions towed 12,000+ pounds with no problems and no rear-end problems......There isn`t much i haven`t towed, bobcats, backhoes, as many as 46 squares of shingles (Timberline), etc, etc....This truck is tough !!!!!!

A tune up is a definite, I havent had it in to the dealer for scheduled maintance since around 35,000. of course I change the oil myself.
I did at one time have the rear diff cover replaced with the 05's diif cover because of leaking. I guess thats a common occurance from what I've read on this site. I dont do alot of towing, only my wheeler to the hunt club about 2 1/2 hours each way, and I'm working in GA but live FL so that accounts for most of my miles. i toyed with trading it in last weekend before I hit the 100,000 mark but, the dealer would only offer me 10,000! for trade on a 4x4 xe cc. My truck is immaculate inside in out, he was nuts(or thought I was stupid) besides they dont make the canteen green anymore and I'm kinda fond of it. Guess I can wait until the 09's come out, by then I should have 250,000 on it and I'll give it to my little brother who'll be 17 at the time. lucky kid.
