OKay, I am thinking of putting a pair of Fosgate P3 Shallow Mounts in my Titan and I was wondering what would be a good amp for them? I have looked at the Fosgate T600-2 and the Sundown SAE-1000d, but I don't know which way to go. SO I am looking for some options for a amp that I can runs these off.

I can't make a recommendation based on experience but I'll tell you what I have and what it's going to be. Right now I'm running 1 P3SD210 off of a Kenwood 8104D and it sounds pretty darn good considering it's a $100 amp. It does seem a little power starved though. This is in my other car but as soon as I get another P3SD210, they're going into the Titan. Bought a Sundown 1000 off CT (if the guy actually sent it, starting to worry) and finally spring for a tech box. I think it's going to be perfect for a downfiring solution I've been wanting. 600+ watts at 2Ohms from the Sundown should be awesome. Good luck.

Cool. I plan on making sure I give them enough power. That Sundown does look good from what I have read so far. I am also looking at a Sundown 100.4 and a Fosgate T600-4 for my comps. I will also end up will a Tech box, but I want mine to be ported.

You know what I think about the Sundown amps! :) You could get a matching set with the 100.4 and 1000D.

Hey brother if you go with sundown, don't do the 1000 go for the 1500 for $26.00 more, James has it on special. Also just to let you know, I went down to the shop today and had them remove the Alpine MRP-M650 that was running my 2 RF P3 and I thought it sounded good. But I had them change it to the Alpine PDX-600.1, so hopefully it will sound even better now..... With that said I think the sundown 1500 would take care of those RF's just fine. Or you can spend all that extra cash and buy JL Audio.... HEHE

LOL....The reason I am not thinking of more power is because the shallow P3s are different than the regular P3s. They can't handle as much power. I don't know but I could be wrong.

Don't forget, the sundown amps put out more power than advertised. Jacob is very conservative with his ratings.

You guys are correct P3 shallow are 300 watt rms and 600 watt max opposed to 400 watt rms and 800 watt max on the P3 reg or the P3 12" shallow. I run at 4 ohms with the PDX 600 at 4 ohms split into 2 300 watts rms per P3 shallow. Hmmmm thinking of changing the box and having it ported like your thinking about doola....

Now that is funny. If I wasn't going ported I probably have 4 tens. I can't wait for Tech to come from vacation for I can see if he can do 2 12s ported.

Have anybody had a chance to hear a Kenwood KFC-XW1200F shallow mount? I am starting to think about the Kenwoods.
I havent heard the Kenwoods but I think P'dizzle might have.

Why are you going shallow? There are a lot of options that will fit in our trucks that are standard. You probably want a down fire, ported enclosure right? :)

The reason I am going shallow is because I want each side ported. And I want two subs instead of one. I haven't thought about the box beinf up firing or down firing yet. Maybe I need to think of that.:)

Yeah, I saw that Pdizzle heard them and that is why I put it on my list of subs to consider.

HAHA I added downfire because I figured between that and ported it would be the hardest to make fit. :)

I think the downfire boxes typically have less airspace because of the clearance required for the floor.

LOL...When I think about it you are correct about the down firing box not having enough room. You still crack me up.

Well at least I'm good for something!! :)
