I don't have the cargo rails in my Titan, but don't think that they would be sturdy enough for the weight of the rack, tent, and 1 or 2 people. How about the racks that sit on top of the rails. You could also have a bed cover.

 

The Yakima Overhaul HD or Outpost HD can be mounted to utilitrack.

I posted a pic of mine earlier. The current setup is using tonneau adapter, but they make a utilitrack adapter as well. A bit pricey, but highly adaptable and has good weight rating.

 

Can you share a link to the utili-trac adaptors? I searched the Yakima site and couldn’t find them.

 

Thule also makes a rack for the Titan.

FWIW the overhead racks Nissan sold for the Titan had a weight capacity limit of 200 lbs. I'm not sure if that's the limit for the rack or the utilitrak.

 

I don't belive the weight would be a problem. As per the Manual : Applying loads at angles to the cleats greater than 45° or loads greater than 150 lbs. (header and floor channels) or 200 lbs. (side channels) may cause damage to the channel or bed.
I would assume this is per mounting point ? So if you have a 200lb weight anchored at 4 points, one can assume the load on each point will be less....

 

The utility track will handle that weight just fine.

 

It seems that the yakima racks will work best in my case..... i like the easy on-off mechanism as i dont need it on the truck all the time.. and it's easy to store....
