Well off came the plasti dip, and on came the bed liner.

Much more satisfied with the results. Prep took about an hour. Left them on the truck and masked around them.

Tailgate next week when I get time.

Looks good. Why did you switch?

How bad was it taking it off?

Looks good Vilim

I recently got some Plasti Dip to check out & was curious how it came off as well.

I sprayed a few letters I had previously debadged with 2 coats, let it dry for a day and peeled it off- very easy once you get a piece of it lifted.

Has anyone done bedliner on top of Plasti Dip?

Looks good but why not debadge it. I think it has a much more sleek look without them.

how'd you get the tape around the letters so well without any bed liner getting on the paint?

the best part is that you used spiral notebook paper.

I dont mean to threadjack, but what is the best removal method? Hair dryer and fishing string?

Fishing line and GOO GONE. About 30 mins a set for removal. Then I hit it with the buffer and no sign that the badges were ever there. Nice and sleek.

The best thing for getting rid of the residue and adhesive from the emblems and pin striping is a product called adhesive remover made by 3M. Spray it on, let it sit for 10 seconds and it wipes away pretty easy. It's made for use on vehicle paint so it will not do any damage. When I debadged and removed my pin stripes on my truck the adhesive remover was worth it's weight in gold at least on the pin striping. I went from doing about a foot of pin striping in 45 min to doing the entire truck in just over an hour. The stuff is a miracle cure for adhesive.
