Broke all 3 lower running board studs last night in the woods. I know theres a thread about this, but im wondering if nissan would be able to swap out the studs?

I guess that is one downfall of the long wheel base trucks. Easy to smack down on the running boards with so much space between the wheels. I know I have done it a few times in the woods with my swb, but made it out unscathed. I'm thinking that you should be able to replace them, or fab some new ones up. Good luck!

If you are going to be bashing about in the woods, you can get rock sliders and weld them to the frame. JohnHarden has them. He posted pics of using them as a jack point, so they seem plenty strong. If you replace the studs, they will break again under the same conditions. I had an old FJ40 with an overhanging rear step. After replacing broken bolts about 10 x, I finally just left the step off.

Shouldn't be that bad and worst case, you can drill and tap 'em.

Yea I bought a screw/bolt extractor earlier. Just gotta drill them with a small drill bit then tap the other thing it and underbolt it. Also guessed at which bolt I needed from home depot and ended up being a good one, hopefully itll work all the way screwed in tomorrow though. My brackets are barely bent, unnoticeable. Big relief off my shoulders lol
