I recently had a CEL light come on my 04 Titan and had it checked out by Auto Zone. It shows the CAT1 and CAT2 failure. My Titan has 310,000 miles and still purs like a kitty cat. I believe I can put another 100k with no problems. I took my truck over to MIDAS and he said it could be anywhere from 1k to 2k to fix. He did not think he would be able to put on after market manifolds and CATs like PACESETTER which I found on Amazon for around 450.00 total including gaskets. I just don't want to sink 2k into this baby even though i love her so much. I also asked the manager at MIDAS if he had heard about the C02 adapters that once installed will keep the CEL from coming back on. Is this worth a try? He said to my surprise "sure no problem, buy them and I'll install them". I would just be tickled if I could fix this with those adapters. My Texas inspection sticker is out and I need to get this fixed ASAP. Hope I explained enough about my issue to get some good feedback. Never have posted here before and I was able to reset the CEL light using tips from this forum however, it came back on about 20 miles down the road. Thanks all!

You have cracked manifolds or destroyed cats. I would contact Cajun and start there because just making the CEL go away isn't going to fix the problem. I would just contact Jeff at the provided URL and let him help you out. You most likely have a set of headers in your future which is going to be a lot less than having someone that isn't used to working on a Titan just "fix" it. cajunbpipes.com

Ok, just spoke to Jeff...he quoted 1385 for everything out the door...half of what he said went over my head. He was really surprised I had 310k on my truck without ever needing manifolds. I am his official new record breaker.
He is to send me info on the guy who will install these for about 750.00.
I am weighing my options right now. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS for responding so quickly...awesome!

There are a few guys in Tx that may be able to help you actually. I'm sure one of them will chime in. Jeff is set up here in Shreveport, so even shipping stuff to you it should get there quick. Honestly, I would stay start looking into places that will install headers.

Got these from Autozone.
You need to drill the inside out with a 1/2" drill bit but DON'T drill all the way through.
Drill hole at bottom to 5/16"
Install into b-pipe and install rear sensor into defouler.
You can reset CEL light but will need to drive 80 - 90 miles before it's ready for inspection.
Note this is temp fix to turn CEL off for inspection only.

I have the same problem on my 05, just picked it up from my mechanic and it is the front cat. Said it looks like on mine the cat can be cut out and a new one welded back in just need to find a muffler shop that will do the work.

If it's the secondaries just get a set of b pipes and call it a day. you can fix that in your drive way. Cajun has them, PRT, or find someone with a set of stockers that they are trying to get rid of. Hell, my stock b pipes are in the bed of my truck

Dude, DFW is packed with members. I'm sure someone will help you which will cut out the labor pricing. That's a good place to be if you need help for sure.

So one more thing....is there any long term damage? I may sell my truck in the next year or two. I drive high miles every year....would I damage anything by going this route? Is this JUST temporary? I am looking for a cheap fix but if I think its worth it I go with new cajun b-pipes and keep it even longer. She's been a good solid truck for me.

PaPro it is the front converter, had already thought about replacing the rear, but since My son starts college in a couple of weeks and I just laid out 3k to ULL I was hoping for a little bit less expensive fix.

jgreen - not sure of the cost just found out yesterday need to get with a muffler shop and see how much, will post when I find out.
