If you want to blow $10K on a status symbol, and that happens to be your truck, hey, go for it, its not a bad decision if that is what you want to spend it on. However I would struggle between spending it on getting a much nicer Harley sooner, or much bigger motors for the cigarette boat, or an extra jet ski, and still driving a smoking hot, super reliable, brand new truck.

but hey, its your $10K and its your status symbol and your choice.

I faced that decision in January, now my cigarette boat runs 10 mph faster and has a new stereo :) my Pro-4X is red by the way :)))

I guess he didnt buy a Titan?
Aagh, meant to update this. I'm not some weird internet troll...

In fact I didn't -- I really wanted to make the Pro-4X work, but the short bed was a killer. I didn't even bother with a test ride. The salesman told me on the phone it had a 'standard bed,' whatever that means, and since the dealership was near, I didn't bother digging into the details. Nice looking truck in person, but I do a lot of kayak fishing and have to have a bed that's a minimum of 6'. This was a huge problem with my Frontier.

So went with a '13 DC Tundra 4x4. I'm certain I could have gotten a bigger discount on the Nissan, though both had the same sticker, but the DC config is perfect for what I need - 6.5' bed, at the expense of a tighter cab for rear-passengers, but that's 1% of the time, if that.

Last time the Frontier won out over the Tacoma...this time the Tundra won, I guess....I appreciate the excellent comments, and this is a nice forum!

I could not even look at the Tundra, my head touched the the ceiling, or I might have gave it a closer look. Congrats on your buy.
Actually the tundra has gobs more head room then titan. You could be 7ft with plenty of space. The seat does rise so maybe it was jacked up when you sat in it.
Titan is way better looking though;) here's my tundra and now my new titan. Always thought titans were best looking half ton.

Some times things like options is a deal breaker. I was in the same boat as far as Titan vs Tundra. After 3 titans and all of them being about the same thing as far as features/drivetrain I just couldn't see myself stepping into a 4th one. I'm sure you'll love the Tundra. I know I love mine. :)

Wow, went through 3 Titans, and were considering a 4th? Was there something wrong with any of the first 3, or do you just change your mind a lot? I've been guilty of doing similar in the past, but never 3 of the same vehicle.

Lol. Well part of it has to do with me changing my mind. Depending if the new Titan was already going to be out within the next couple months I probably would've held out. In this case it probably won't be ready for sale until mid/late of next year which is way too long to wait. As far as the first 3 titans go well let's see. The first Titan I bought was a 2004 KC XE model 4x2. I the. Realized I F*up by getting an XE model which didn't even have power windows. Traded her in for a 2005 SE big tow 4x4 with center console. I really loved that truck and probably would've stayed with it if they hadn't crashed me and totaled it. Then jumped into a 2006 4x4 center console SE crewcab. Truck was good no issues but then I had to start commuting to work so this was not a practical vehicle anymore I could've have just bought a beat er upper but I couldn't see myself paying monthly on the T and not even getting to drive it. Well now I don't have to commute so I wanted back in a truck and that's where we are today. Lol. Sorry for the long post.

No I sat in 07, 2010 ,2011, I put down the seat as low as it would go, the dealer told me to lean the seat back like a teenager, I was not going to drive with my arms stretch out. Im only 6foot 2, I told them they must not sell to football and basket ball players.

I drove 4 hours up to Albuquerque to buy my Pro-4x. Traded in my KC for it. Family was getting cramped in the KC and figured if we're upgrading to a CC we're getting the Titan I've always wanted. Searched high and low for about 6 months before it popped up on autotrader. Think this weekend is the one year anniversary of buying it.
