Engine won't accelerate, as if stale fuel was put in

So I am in a really messed up situation and can't seem to figure anything out.
We will start back at the beginning,

I put a k and n aftermarket cold air intake on the truck back in July.
Truck worked fine for the first week then started to act up.
What is happening is after the truck goes to switch between gears or revs higher then 2-2.4 thousand rpm the transmission drops and I have no acceleration.
Almost as if I had a batch of fuel with some water in it, if anyone ever happen to run into that problem.
Here what I did ,
1) put fuel stabilizer in it.
That didn't fix it so went on this forum
Read that sometimes the mass air flow sensor might have been damaged so bought one cheap of eBay.

Worked good for 4 weeks then acted up again.
Took into nissan dealership hooked computer up to it and they said try buying an original mass air flow sensor after putting my original intake back on. Put the original on still losing horsepower like crazy so it killed me but spent the $300 to buy the mass air flow sensor.
Didn't fix anything and no returns.

So 4 weeks driving with a truck who can barely make it up hills and won't pass a single car. Took it into a local mechanic and hooked computer up, and he thought truck might be in limp mode, did the reset. Nothing. Told mechanic I was putting in low octane (cheaper gas... Farm) he told me to put premium or high test which I did with some fuel conditioner . Nothing.

The only code coming up the mechanic said might be the converters. Because I wasn't putting in good or expensive fuel might be the reason the converter is going? At this point I'm disgusted. No idea what's wrong. Mechanic said the converter is under the manifold so it's a half big job. Priced roughly a converter and seem some for $500 and others for $1000 so it all makes me sick now....

Any help at all would be great I honestly have no clue what else to do and am sick of paying mechanics for no solution and telling me what I half knew.

The truck is 06 Titan with 90 k miles.
Never rebuilt fuel changed every 2-3 k mile. Thanks

The type of fuel has nothing to do with it. Our trucks are built for 87 octane.

Any taillight mods lately?

I heard bulbs in the taillights can cause the truck to think you are applying your breaks and thus limiting engine power.

so i had a similar problem about a year ago finally pulled the fuel pump out and it was horrible, so much dirt and black plastic/rubber bits clogging the screen. so basically try dropping your fuel tank and looking. took me 2.5 hours from start to finish. if you have any questions about what its was doing pm me and ill go into detail.

How much oil did you put on the new k+n filter? Did it gum up the new sensor? Do you have any hidden codes, with no check engine light?

Sell one of the oem MAF sensors for half price to get some money back if you can
