Hello All,

I may get in a bit of trouble for posting this so let me start out by saying i am sorry. That said here we go.

I do work for GReddy Performance Products. We are a manufacture that specializes in the aftermarket performance products. I also own a Titan.
I have spoke to my General Mgr. about make a supercharger kit for the 5.6lt Nissan motor. Both for the people out andd yes for my own ride..lol

My question is to the public. Would you at all be interested in GReddy making a supercharger kit for the Titan/ Armada. Please post and give me your thoughts.

S/C are nice, but they are already out there. I think you would make more $$ by creating some decent tuning software!! Heck, do both!! ~$4.5K for the s/c and $500 for tuning (I mean access to everything in the ECU) and you will be a billionaire...okay maybe not, but you get the point.

4k sound good to me! Lets get the ball rollin on this project and get the line started! Btw stillen may come out with a stage 2 so watch out. The more the merrier......:rockon

just curious what would be the time frame for the fabrication of the sc? hopefully not anything longer than 6 months. Thanks

the 56kde motor can produce well over 500hp with the right tuning, nissan provved this with their intro to race circuts. A turbo would be a bad idea on a stock motor. You WILL have to change the pistons at the least and have the exhaust lift and duration shortened to avoid pre-combustion. to a stock motor, prooven about the 500hp mark is your stopping point without overhauling the whole motor with hp polished bearings and at least welding a secondary support to the rods and dropping compression on pistons and allowing the primary and secondary compression gap to be .020 bigger. So simply put, supercharger is the perfect answer. Even though this motor will stay solid to 12k rpm on the f1 tune, its not practical to your transmission, trust me, spooling the trans at 2x the shift point, your valve body will be sitting on the car behind you. I would be open to the testing to the new supercharger idea. I have some sourcecode to some obd portal soft and am working it to read and rewrite for 07-09 titans only.
MAP, fuel curve, safe mode throttle to pre detonation .etc//

Let me know if I can help,
Jesse Livengood"idhitit2: lol,

the pic, that was a supercharged built motor racing cam msd motha, street driven and 10-7 qm toy.

Now I movved to the titan, make me believe!

Finally! I was waiting for GReddy to perhaps come out with something.

I think you need to solve the ECU dilemma first, then focus on putting out a kit that can hit a solid 550HP at the crank. Most of the other 300+HP V8 domestics with blowers are putting out 500-550 (LS1, Hemi, Ford 3V) and the Titan engine is at least as good as any of those, and probably a hell of a lot better with some new camshafts and ECU tuning to go with the blower.

Maybe an IHI designed twin screw for massive torque down low and lots of HP on the big end. Or an Autorotor or Lysolm twin screw?

Eaton is okay, and a centrifugal is probably better, but not with a stock engine/stock RPM range. The centrifugal blower would have to be pushed with a fair amout of boost and the engine would have to be pushed to 6500+ RPMs for it to be attractive. The Eaton is not an attractive option because it doesn't respond well to higher blower RPMs, hence the term "Heaton."

For the majority of people that want good towing and performance, I think the efficiency and broad power of the twin screw is a more appealing product for a large p/u truck.

If we were to do something with the ECU, we would be using our Emanage Ultimate.

Titan High-As we say in the south, "Brang It On". Nissan left a lot of potential for tuners of the Titan engine. If your bosses at Greddy wish to give the nice folks at Stillen some competition they are welcome to give it a shot. Greddy has a good rep for building horsepower. What mods have you done to your Titan so far?

Currently i only have an intake and exhaust in the performance section. My Titan also has 10.5 inches of lift. Here is a picture:

Similar specs to Stillen? Competitive price? It's a go...Besides most supercharger kits range from $2500 to $3000. $4000 is pushing it...no offense, but Stillen's pricing is sky high.
I agree Stillen's price is very high. Even the good -guy deal is up there. As far as specs i have nothing to currenty offer. Right now we are try tring to get as much information as we can.

Congrats on a very good looking truck. If you let your bosses at Greddy drove it, I'm sure it made quite an impression. Like I said before...I know there is a lot of talent at Greddy. There was an earlier post for a horsepower challenge for the VK56 engine. I bet they are up to it.
Thank you for that. Yes i did let my boss drive it and he did like it a lot.

guys i welcome competition but would love to see someone produce a kit that provides as many components as stillen for 1000-1500 less. will that happen? even randy (the turbo guy) said it would be really hard to produce a kit as complete as stillen for a whole lot less...his kit is around 3500 supplies much less and has no warranty...i hope it can be done and i know stillen is making money but they were the first to supply the titan community with fi and know that everyone else sees thiers money in it they want a piece....why didnt other companies step up if they thought they could do it cheaper? i was waiting for a turbo setup but was tempted by stillen and i can say it would be really hard for anyone to beat thier customer service...they have called me numerous times to make sure everything is ok.....again i welcome performance and hope the reality can be ralized without compromising reliablity that stillen offers.....titanhigh its up to you to help produce a complete supercharger kit for 4500 or less with a warranty...that would be 1000 cheaper than i bought mine 6 months ago.. anything less than 1000 cheaper i cant see it being a major achievement...good luck

Not likely....Unless Emanage has a v-8 software update in beta form then it might work. Currently Emanage is supporting only 4&6 cyl applications...right?

I have already pinned out the titan harness and supplied it SGP Racing in hopes for Greddy involvement. Only other thing needed is a base fuel map....ding your the guy to get it done so let's "get'r done".

A supercharger would be good but even at $3K you won't get as much buyers as a good programmer for about $500 - $700. You'll get alot of peoples jumping on that.
you got it all wrong..

forget about the ecu for now and lets focus on the SC!it's GReddy so you know the ecu will get covered.:smileysqu

give me a major discount and I'll give you my truck for 3 weeks as the 1st victim. I'm on vacation in less than 2 weeks.
