Lift Components... will it work?

Okay so I was wondering if getting a set of the new Maxtrac 4" spindles, a 1.5" leveling spacer, and extended braided brake lines for front suspension and then a 3" rear block with icon rear shocks and a carrier bearing spacer sounds like a good idea and if it would be level. This would be almost $1000 but not quite and the components would be for the most part off ebay except for what I can get off the forum. Does this sound like a good idea or is this just going to end up being a poorly assembled lift?

That sounds like a great plan.. Only I would skip on the leveling kit and check out some bilsteins for the front. They'll give you that 1.5" of lift you're looking for, with a much better ride.

Yeah it might cost a little bit more, but from I hear they're worth it! I believe they're about 250 for a set.

Or you can pass on the spacer, and 5100's and get some 08+ 4x4 coils... If you are 06 or older they will give you 3.5". I know it may be more lift than you want, but thats what I ended up doing when I had my 2wd. Spindles + 08 4x4 coils gave me 7.5" of lift, then I eventually added 5100's to replace the junk stock shocks. So you have a few options!

Okay so Ive ordered all the lift components and wanted to see if anybody knew if 315/70/17s would rub on the spindle? I'm running the 17" off road rims and I was planning on getting some kumho Mt's for after I install the lift. The maxtrac guys told me that they knew 305s wouldn't rub the spindle but were not sure about the 315's. Hopefully somebody can help me out with this.

Here is the link at CST suspension
http://www.cstsuspension.com/products/sfID1/12/sfID2/8/sfID3/69/productID/343

It explains that you can run up to a 305/70R17 on 8" wide rims with no more than 4.75" backspace. I have 20X9" with +10mm offset rims (as stated above) and my tires are 305/55R20 (33X12.5R20) I've been told that it will be really close if it does work and to just buy 1" wheel adapters in case it doesn't work.

Spindles and bilsteins are what I plan on running too but if you have the 5100's on the middle setting giving you a total of 5.5" (with the spindles) of front lift you'd be fine with a 2" block and not have to do the CBDB and cut your truck at all. ( I heard something about having to cut something with the CBDB please correct me if I'm wrong.)

Please post pics once you get the components delivered and also pics once installed.
BTW what was the total cost if you don't mind? How much for just the 5100's and where'd you order them?
Thanks.

I think a 2" block would have you closer to level. I had the CST spindles + 2.5" spacer on my old Titan, and I sat 41.5" up front. For the rear, I had a 4" block, and I sat 42.5". If you set the 5100 at 1, you'd be at ~40.5" up front and ~41.5" in the rear.

$190 shipped isn't bad at all IMO (thanks for that info). I need to order mine soon.
Like Madrock said you would have been closer to level with a 2" and avoided the CBDB but it will still look good either way and not be too noticeable, just a slight rake look.

Hey guys, I have the 4" cst spindles with 2.5 prg level, cbdb and 4" fab block and I sit 41.5 front and 41 rear. Nothing in the bed.

Figured I'd throw out those numbers, hope it helps.

same here, exactally level front to rear

I put 4" spindles and a 2.5" prg leveling kit on a friends 2wd and we only put deavers in the rear and it sat level. 3" is too much if you want level. That will make your rear higher.

What setup did you go with? Be sure to post pics.
