I would buy one (Powertrax). I would also like to have one for the front diff.

I put a Lock Rite in the front and a Powertrax in the rear on my old Chevy. That thing rocked off road.

Not really interested in a TruTrac...

 

Powertrax looks like it might be an easy DIY install as you may not have to remove the diff carrier from the housing, thus avoiding having to adjust carrier bearing lash. That would save $300 to $400 versus a typical trutrac install.

I'd be down. All this truck does with an open diff and some rain is roast one tire. How bad would this effect daily street drivability?

Hey guys, i just spoke with both Eaton Products about the TRUTRAC and Richmond Gear which make the POWERTRAX.

Eaton will not be making the trutrac for the 08's because they would want nissan to stay with the same rear end for a couple of years, and they dont want to make a differential for a one year truck. Since Chrysler will be making the titans from now on... that means no trutrac. Richmond gear wanted me to try and get as many people as possible that would want a locker for their titans and if there are enough requests, they would make one for us.... $450-$550, about the same price as trutrac. Its worth a shot.

Glad to see response so quickly, but were gonna need more than just a few people. If any of you know anyone that has an 08 and is not on the forums, get them on them. Every little bit helps.

 

i want one too because i'm tired of the rear pass. side tire screaming everytime i try to give it anything past 1/2 throttle when pulling out onto a road. it would also help greatly with off road too.

Count me in also. I installed a Powertrax No-Slip in an 01 Ranger and it makes a huge difference and is a simple install. It would be great to have a real choice for traction aid this ABLS sux.
