Alright guys, I have a 2006 Titan CC 4x4 LE with the Rockford system and the Dual Climate control LCD.

With my new job I will be doing a medium amount of traveling, so I am looking for a system that has very good bluetooth (both for calling and possible audio streaming) and has Ipod Control support for the Iphone 3G.

I am prefering a 2-Din solution with a touchscreen LCD, but will also consider 1-DIN solutions.

I am also not wanting to gut the entire system at this time and would like the quickest and easiest Head Unit install, preferably using a PAC Factory integration adapter (Like I used in my wife's tahoe to adapt an old JVC KD-BT1 to her factory BOSE system), but PAC Tech Support just informed me the PAC ROEM-NIS2 would not work in my 2006 Rockford System.

So I guess my questions are as follows:

1.) What is a good (reasonably priced) 2-DIN Head Unit with Bluetooth 2.0, touchscreen LCD, and Iphone 3G support and control?
i.) Possible Models I am looking at are JVC KW-AVX820, Dual XDVDN8290, and the like.

2.) What is the most cost-efficient and time-efficient setup and/or method to install #1's Head Unit?

3.) Since I happen to have the Dual Zone Climate LCD, I think i am pretty much limited to the Schosche and Metra Faceplate kits and cannot use the OEM XE Bezel, unless there are some other options out there I am not aware of. Is this correct?

Thanks for the quick reply Black Beauty, but I think I should have listed my price ranges on total system cost. I would like to keep it around $500-$600 total for the install, MAY go up to $700 but would really like to keep it around $500.

And my truck is also a 2006, and that kit you listed was for a 2008??

OK some more research finished regarding Question #2, and aftermarket HU integration into the Rockford AMP.

It is looking like I can use the PAC OEM2 to drop the new HU output levels to what the Rockford amp usually brings in.

Has anyone else installed an aftermarket HU with the PAC OEM2? I am really worried about distortion or noise since the new HU amplifies, the PAC then de-amplifies, and then the Rockford AGAIN amplifies....

I have the metra dash kit for my truck fit's good and the color is close too, my set up is different because I run an aftermarket amp to my door speakers if you had some extra cash i would recomend getting a new amp for your door speakers because it will sound much better and easier to install that head unit, also the factroy RF amp has been know to go out after awhile mine did at 12K so I put in a new 4ch amp

One more question guys....

Does anyone know what the voltage level of the pre-amp signals are coming out of the RF HU?

I was looking at the Metra AMP Integration harness and the pioneer F700BT has 2V pre-outs, so is that too much, not enough??

Or do I just need to get the PAC OEM2 or the Navone N-684V to attenuate the outputs of the new HU and be done with it?

2V pre-outs are pretty standard, the higher end units have 4V and 5V pre outs

Alright guys, today I placed my order for the following components:

Pioneer AVIC-F7010BT Head Unit $539 from eCRATER Seller PDTZONE
Metra 99-7606 Dash Kit $28.73 from Buy.com
Metra 70-7551 Amp Intregration Harness $9.97 from eBay
Pioneer CD-iU230V iPod USB Cable $24.99 from eBay

Total right now comes to $602.69 for my setup.

I am also considering getting the PAC SWI-PS to hook up as well, but was concerned about revision level? Vendor pics have showed two different housings for this part and I am not sure yet which one to get to work with the F7010BT.

I will try to take some pics during the install. I am hoping everything gets here quick so I can block out an entire Saturday to do the install right!

Well guys, I am a little ticked off right now. 3 of the 4 items I ordered have shipped, but of course the one that hasn't is the main one, the Pioneer Headunit.

I took a chance and ordered from a guy on eCrater, which is supposed to be the new ebay alternative. The guy PDTZONE also sells on Ebay and is a 700+ feedback powerseller, but after 5 days he has still yet to ship or even confirm my order or answer any of my emails. So I forsee a Paypal resolution battle ensuing, which will of course delay my install :(

One more question, I came upon a amplifier I think is in working condition that I want to use to power a new sub, but I would really like to just replace the sub in the stock box if possible. Are there any aftermarket subwoofers that will fit into the stock RF enclosure under the front seat?

I will most likely end up ordering the under front seat kit from Tech12, but just don't have an extra $200 to spend after blowing my wad on the Pioneer F7010BT, which I may or may not get....

Thanks guys!!

Hey. We need some before pics, some install pics, and some finish pics.

Your gonna need some sort a relay or capicitor, something or other. I can't remember.......anyway need some pics.:)

Sorry guys for the delay in the pics. My truck has been basically torn apart for about a week now trying to get rid of this freaking ground loop/alternator whine.

I have grounded the RCA's at the HU chassis, straight to harness ground, straight to amp ground, tried Ground Loop Isolators, NOTHING seems to work.

I have moved my 4-channel amp ground to a new custom drilled hole in the floor body, scraped away the paint.

RCA's aren't running next to any 12V power lines as I have my 12V trunk line run under the truck along the frame and coming in the back wall grommet.

So I cannot figure out why in the world my Pioneer AVIC-F7010BT still has this ground loop.

PLEASE HELP!!!
