Okay so hears the deal...a few weeks ago some stupid kids in the neighborhood thought they needed my pioneer nav and cd more than i did. They broke in through the power slider (ntm is a 1000 replacement) and stole it. So after bullsh*t with insurance I finally install me brand new stereo and get my window fixed. So to prevent this from happening again I decided to buy a add on DEI alarm sensor OEM add on. So today I went for the install, went pretty smooth and when Im finish I realize something is wrong and when the sensor goes off the alarm does not. So I decide to pull it all out and Ill bring it to a install shop on monday. After I get everything out I go to roll my windows up and realize i have no power to my windows. Nothing big happened but now I have no power to my ignition, dash, stereo, ac but it still beeps when the key is in the ignition and dome light and headlights etc still work. Cannot figure out what is wrong. Checked the fuses and they all seem fine. Anyone heard of this? It has to be some kind of fuse short or something because i still get power to a few things. ANY IDEAS?????

I will go with a bad battery!!!

At this point you can't ruled anything out including a bad battery. When mine went dead I couldn't start the truck but had lights.
If it's not the battery, check all the OE wires to see if it's not broken when you pulled the system back out.
Hope you didn't fried the BCM.

Blown fuseable link... Just a guess..

Have you had your battery tested yet?

Do you have a test light? Start checking for power from the battery back.. You say the headlights come on? If so, turn them on and try to start the truck, do the headlights dim Real bad or shut off? If they do, you need to start with a battery and or a good charge of the battery...

nope..with lights on or not nothing..no click no trying to turn nothing...when i put the key in the on position my ac radio and dash(gas oil battery) meters dont move an inch. Where's the fusible link? And would this be the 40A fuse maybe? Wheres that located?

Yes guys I did try the battery. A few times. Put in a friends and all and same thing. It's not the battery. And as for the alarm system. I did the install, and it has to be something I did wrong for this to happen. I just can't point out the problem. Like I said, you hook directly into the BCM so hopefully I didn't screw something up on there. Unless there is some master fuse that runs my ignition, radio, ac, etc. then its not a fuse. I checked my connections thousands of times, everything is exactly as it should be just as before I did the install. So unless I figure something out i guess ill be calling the stealer tom and handing over the checkbook. Any other ideas?

I had a similar issue. I had wired in keyless a few months ago and everything was fine expect on of the actuators was acting up so I swapped the brains and then I had the same problem. Truck was dead, headlights worked, dome lights worked but it wouldn't cranked. I had power in the fuses under the hood and dash but I didn't have any spark at the ignition. I had it toed to the dealer and apparently the big ignition fuse under the hood is a dual fuse. So one part of it blew which killed the ignition and everything else but allowed the lights to run and what not. The tech said sometimes when you unplug a harness it'll cause a surge (I have no idea how) and blow the fuse. So def disconnect the battery before doing anything electrical!
