On my recent excursion to Pismo, I averaged out miles driven versus fuel used, and came up with 8.129 MPG. My trailer weighs 3500lbs dry (probably more like 4000) and I had it loaded with all kinds of food, my generator, a 2001 Honda 400EX, and miscellaneous bedding/supplies. I am estimating somewhere around 2000 lbs of "cargo."
On top of that, I had myself (240lbs), my wife (130lbs), my buddy Erik (195lbs), and my two children (28lbs and 23lbs, respectively). Add their car seats, all the supplies for them (in the truck), add the fact that I am pulling all that weight plus 35" tires with NON Big Tow gears.
Now, how does the mileage sound? About average? Thanks in advance for the input.
