These pictures are rough too, that was only after about 3 coats, I've gone over it 2 more times since to fill it in and even out the coat.

You are bedlining your entire truck? Would be rugged, but I like the shine too much after I wash it.

 

There wasnt much of a shine left. It was more like one giant scratch after another.

Thanks man, well I spent nearly 3 hours sanding. I had minimal rust spots in various spots(pinhole size rust holes) so I spent a lot of time making sure I sanded out all the rust and did an even smooth sand. I basically just wanted a rough surface to lay the bedliner down on the truck, its not necessary to grind the paint down to the metal. I then took it and washed it down to get all the excess debris, dust, dirt, etc off the surface, once it was dry I began to paint, no need to prime because I left the factory primer on. When I began to paint I laid down an even spray to start off with, no need to coat the entire truck first try because then you risk having blotchy spots and uneven areas, you just want to lightly spray, you can always go back with additional layers to fix it up.

Yes it does. I've seen quite a few people do to old beat up Jeeps but never a few year old truck. LOL Is it even paid off yet? :huh:

@Eddie: Well considering I'm teeming with excitement, I'm currently out in the dark masking and taping the windows, I'm very meticulous on this. I DO NOT want to mess this up. Looks like we will finish up tomorrow afternoon. So tomorrow it looks like!

amtitan808, I bought 6 cans yesterday and 3.5 of them got me through the tailgate, and both bedside fenders, I just went and bought 6 more. With the entire truck coated sufficiently it should be enough.

 

I'd get more on standby---I used 7 cans just between my stock 18s.

Oh for sure man, I'm talking 12 cans just to coat the truck... I'm thinking about another 3-5 cans to really layer this on.

Yep Chad's been helping me from the beginning, he helped me install my strobes too... and unfortunately yes, this is what happens when I'm out of school and have the day off and all my friends work. LOL
