In your opinion do you think pulling a trailer around 5-6 times a year for about 1500 miles total will premature your engine or transmission life or even towing 6000lbs around would have no effect on engine life. Just courious to see what you guys think, some say Titans can pull all day long and engine will be fine @100,000 weather you pulled or not.

If all is done right, and you don't push it hard, the wear is truly insignificant.

Set it up right, don't normally want to tow in Overdrive and use a brake Controller if you can. Don't worry...

The Transmission is the item that would prematurely go bad, long before an Engine. This applies to any vehicle. Treat it right. Do the Drain and fill on the transmission every 25K.

If you don't abuse your truck and maintain it properly, towing, in the amount you indicated, should not be a problem.

Have towed since 04 no problems so far. 1st camper was a TT 6800#, second is a 5th wheel. Like TB said do all maintenance. I use synthetic oil for everything. lol
