The key to the upfiring box is to keep the woofer far enough awy that it doesnt hit the seat . use grilles . firing into the seat will not muffle or distort the bass at all. It actually helps load the woofer a little and sounds really clean if you do it the right way.
i actaully sell some really nice up firing boxes for 2 12 or 10s .Enclosure has 6 inches of mounting depth .. i sell them on ebay and they ar fiberglassed internally . each sub is in its own chamber with 1.15 cubic feet per driver.
My ebay seller id is christyt3838 and my feedback is perfect. or you can email me at tech12volt@yahoo.com. here are some pics. The install pics arent that great but you can see it fits perfect and i can do a titan logo instaed of nissan if wanted. you can email me at tech12volt@yahoo.com.

I think I'm going to buy one to do some comparisons....I contacted the gentlemen for a box for 10's (MY DLS Nobeliums). The build quality looks good in the picture and I'm curious to compare to my down-firing box. I had a up-firing box when I had my 04 Titan and he's right it was LOUD....but a bit muffled with seats down. However, we didn't have the clearance he has in this box. So I'm thinking this box may work out real well. I'm curious to try this out in my new Titan and see if in fact it may be a better choice.

What I want-
10's mounting hole 9.29 inches
Internal volume .75-.80 cu/ft per chamber
Mounting depth 6 inches
Carpet OEM dark grey
Titan logo

Absolutely, I'm very interested in a single sub box either being a 10 or a 12. Reason being i don't need 2 subs. And the main reason, the wife doesn't want me using all the back seat space. Imagine that. So please take pics of the box and any other info along with it.

Also anybody hear anything good or bad with the Pioneer subs? How do you think this sub will sound in this box?

TS-SW1041D
10" Shallow-Mount Subwoofer with 1000 Watts Max. Power
350 Watts Nominal Power
3" Mounting Depth
Small Enclosure Use (0.35 ~ 0.7 Cubic Feet)

i actually use these subs in a 4 door chevy. but i use 4 12s. they ar way overrated in the pwer department. about 250 watts is peak.

The latest article in CA&E said they sounded like crap......
let me explain my opinion . and i have used literally 30 of these. in a vehicle where space is limited. like acrew cab chevy. 4 of them actually sound great and they get loud. but the box needs to be perfect .30 per driver and it has to be sealed. i mean sealed. power needs to be about 750 watts for all four. i would not use in the titan. you have plenty of room to run a great sub.

I got two of them under my front seats. They're allright. They don't hit as good as my buddy's single 10 infinity sub. I use a Inf 611a amp, like which is 600 or 700 watts or something. They don't kick as much as I would like but do add good bass, kept my storage space, and I had 12's, so I maybe used to what a good 12 sounds like and not used to a 10.

i have found these subs work best ported . but you have to be careful and make sure box is perfect.
