Recently had 2 different ford F-150's walk away from me like nothing, I don't have any mods yet except for a CAI, and I know they were stock F-150's, don't know the weather they were 5.0's or what. What gives? I have a 2014, SL

I was asking because after some break in time Nissan trucks in my experience make more power.
You should be able to hang with a 5.0 and probably pull away from them from a stop.

But yes the Ecoboost will pull away from a stock Titan under most circumstances.

The 11 - 14 F150 also had the option of a 6.2 V8, but it was installed in very few of them.

I call BS, unless it's the 6.2. The stock ecoboost should beat a stock Titan, but not "with ease." Unless, of course the ford's are modded. They do make parts for them. Lol

Correct, there was a stock 6.2 running low 14s the last time I was at the track

My buddy has a 2011 f150 5.0 \
we used to race when my titan was stock .
both trucks crew cab 4x4.
from 20 to 80mph it was pretty even . titan pulls hard in the begining but f150 had better top end.
when i got my 33s ( duratracs 295 65 18) he started beating me,

now have 33s longtubes intake and uprev.
he is still stock and loses pretty bad now.

I have another buddy with raptor and he has intake exhaust and tune with 36s
i can usually beat him but if he is on his stock 35s its anyones race

Oh and what a about a stock tundra four door 4x4 any thoughts on beating him too

stock titan will take the 5.0 f-150. i ws at the track this past august. i am stock 2009 titan se, big tow, crew cab short bed 4x4 and ran best times of 15.2 at 89mph a few times that night. someone else with a 5.0 f-150 4x4 crew cab stock was running no better than 16.0 at 86-87mph.

i have a really crappy video racing a friends 2014 ram 5.7 hemi 8 speed and did consistently 2 tenths quicker and 1.5mph faster than him. he stood no chance at all off the line. (ram is pictured in my sig below)

Someone on here has posted a video of a race with a Limited 6.2 crew cab vs his crew cab Titan. The Titans mods were intake, headers, exhaust, and uprev. The 6.2 walked off from him pretty good with only Cai and exhaust, I think. But a stock 07+ Titan can run with a stock ecoboost and should beat the 5.0.

Installing Headers voids the Powertrain Warranty. I think b-pipes might too because they replace the secondary CATs. Anything installed before the Intake Manifold and after the OEM CATs does Not void any warranties from what I was told.

If you are completely stock you have WOT which means "wide open throttle" restriction.

In other words, you're not getting WOT until you reach 40 mph or so.

Get a programmer to eliminate that restriction and you will experience much different results in racing those beer can Fords.

Of course, the Ecoboosts have relatively easy mods to make them go faster, but it won't be a beat down like you're experiencing. And, most people aren't going to go full tilt modding an Ecoboost while it's still under warranty. Most people that is.

It's time to buy a programer or get Uprev....
