Since the difference in price is minimal, I would buy the most powerful one. You could always buy a $10 timer and set it to only go off every 15 minutes or whatever to get the level of Ozone you want.

Keep in mind - you do not want to be in the area when you are running the generator, so using a timer is always a good idea. I set mine up near the air exchange (on a timer) before I leave the house sometimes. It pumps ozone through the house and I come home to a nice clean smelling pad.

I believe you are wrong about this, the defroster activates your A/C, no matter the ambient temp. It was 11F here Thursday, defroster on with A/C, of course mine's a 2004 without individual temperature controls, since your's is the newest model, it may be different,
I confirmed this with both the owners manual and the DVD that came with the new truck. Outside temperature has to be above 36* for the A/C to dehumidify while using the defroster regardless of what the A/C light says. Otherwise, it'll kick on initially, then shut down.

It creates Ozone (O3). When Ozone comes in contact with other particles such as bacteria/mold/smelly stuff, one of the Oxygen atoms separates from the Ozone and binds to the smelly particle and nuetralizes it. So what you have left is O2 (Oxygen).

I did not buy this specifically for my Titan, had it from a long time ago. It's usefull to knock out smoke damage smell, pet odor, mildew, cigarette smell etc.

A drunk girl puked Malibu and pineapple in my S2000 :crying: and the ozone generator was the only thing that could get the smell out.:gunz:

You know how it smells right before it rains? Kind of like a metallic smell? That's ozone being pushed down from the sky.
Cool thanks! And it works huh? Car washes should offer this service!

 They should also offer the "we'll actually get your vehicle clean" service too. But they ususally don't! :jester:

Yeah some do suck. The one here is VERY good but costs big time.
The thing I hate is that they never dry the vehicle well and as soon as you drive away, all the water streaks and leaves ugly trails, so you still have to go home and detail the vehicle and clean the windows to lose the streaks. And for the price, I'd much rather just do it in my own driveway with softened water that DOESN'T spot instead of recycled water that is full of chemicals.

Not to hi-jack this thread, but i see all sorta threads about stinky A/C's...
Mine has never had an odor in over three years....Hmmmmmmmm ???

Now the doors are a different story and i have never heard of anyone saying they have an odor from the doors when the windows are down...
I have mentioned it several times but no one seems to have the same problem..
Are there drains in the doors somewhere for moisture to get out ????
Mine are pretty funky when the windows are down only....
It's the same smell you would get from an A/C because i had that issue on my old chebby....
Mystery Funk ????????

THX...

Are you still on the doors?!?!?!?!? And yes, there are some drain holes in the bottoms of the doors. Maybe the intergalactic atmosphere creation device could help with that? At least if it's mold or mildew, it might? :dunno:

Sounds like the holes (you can see them on the bottom inside part of the doors) are blocked up. Are the doors heavy? Do you hear water in them when you move the doors? Poke something through those holes..see if water coems out but no, I've never heard of that problem before.

A couple of points...

1. The A/C kicks on during defrost too dry the air. Moisture will condensate on the evaporator.

2. One experance I had with stinky A/C was in my wifes Xtera. While filling it with gas I cleaned the windshield. The washing soultion I used must have been old because it defenatly was stinky. to make a long story short. The stinky water went down into the fresh air intake and made for a stinky Xtera for about a week.:flame:

So just an update. I never replaced the filter or did much with it. I just got got more pissed about it. Until, I was in a buddies car and he turned his A/C on. He turned off the recirc and I asked him why he did that? He said because if he doesn't his A/C will smell like ____ .

Anyway, been running my A/C without the Recirc and it doesn't stink at all. You can only turn it off if you put it on the setting next to "max a/c". But it still blows cold air. Don't know the science behind it but no more stinky A/C for me.

I would look through the piping anyway. Mold spores are very bad for your health and maybe you might even find a dead mouse or an abandoned nest of dead baby mice in there somewhere.
