I know it had been hot in Ca lately and No this thread is not about Hot chick either, What I mean Hot is my grill and the hood are verry hot (Burn my hand) after about an hour ride. Is it normal? I have other vehicle and ride in the hot summer day before but never seen anything like this. Any comment and suggestion are greatly appreciated.

im no expert but as long as your engine and tranny arent over heated i wouldnt worry too much about it...

my hood gets vyer hot to the touch jsut from sitting in the sun (not even running)

Color has a lot to do with it too..

We don't know what yours is...

A darker color will get hotter to the touch quicker than a lighter color....

But as was said, if the engine and tranny are showing decent temps... who cares? :dunno: It's not like it's going to get even remotely close to hot enough to peel your paint off or anything goofy like that... Just don't put your girlfriend up on the hood for a booty pic in her thong....

... our OEM non-vented hoods just keep all that engine heat under the hood... have you noticed the flow of heat from the grill and fender wells once you park... heck, I had run mine to the local high pressure spray wash rack, to knock dirt and mud off, and ended up creating a steam bath when I sprayed into the grill and hood. Glad I didn't have the hood open, I probably could've made things crack or explode from the blast of water on the hot engine...
