So i used to want to lift my truck but now im going to just put 22's on it when spring comes around because i want to make it go fast :) So i was just wondering what a good lite weight 22" rim is?

Since you mentioned going faster, in most cases a smaller diameter rim, with a taller tire ... to equal the same diameter combination will be lighter, have a lot more options to choose from, and be much less expensive. Finding street tires is tough in tall enough sizes in 17's though but you should be able to find 18's and 20's.

Example 17" Marin at 22 lbs.
18" Marin at 25 lbs.
20" Marin at 31 lbs.
22" Marin at 36.6 lbs.

Random example tire ... BFG g-Force T/A KDW 2
18" 285/60R18 31.5" diameter (same a diameter as a '04-'07 XE), 38 lbs. with rim above, 63 lbs.
20" 285/55R20 32.3" diameter, 40 lbs. with rim above, 71 lbs.
22" 305/40ZR22 31.5" diameter, 41 lbs. with rim above, 77.6 lbs.

Different tire models and sizes could skew the combinations weight differences either way somewhat.

The AR Trench is another lightweight wheel compared to many others.

22" and light do NOT go together. That's like asking which model yugo is the fastest because I wanna go fast? HAHAHA

NORCal gave you the boatload.....

22's do not = fast, physics at it's best.

If you want looks and some go fast stick to 20's (still going to be somewhat heavy)

my set up is around 65lbs if memory serves, around 44 for the tires and the rest is rim weight (and a ****load of counterweights for the Nittos)

Are they really going to hurt me that much though?

UHHHHH yeah!! These guys are telling you the truth. If you want to go fast, you don't want to put anchors on all 4 cornors of your truck. They are gonna take more power to get going and even more power to get stopped.:bangit:

yes and no....... you'll just have to do more to compensate for the additional rotating mass. if you plan for it ahead of time you'll be OK.

again, it depends on how fast you really want to be.

......it's a 5k rocket :rockon

Also look at the American Racing Trench wheels. They were listed at just under 27 LBS for 22's last time I checked (although that seems a little crazy). It will hurt you, but if the ones oyu get aren't too heavy, then you may be ok. I know Gweasel77 only ran .08 slower then me last time at the track and I had 17's on and he had 22's..We are both equally modded

My friends 06 titan (granted it's bone stock) went from a 15.5 to 16 flat by swapping out his stock 18's to 22's. They are really heavy. It will also affect your breaking too.
