Sorry this is in the titan section, i cannot view the off topic at work :crying:

As some of you know i work for Lockheed Martin, subcontracted to NASA.

I just received an email from the managers i support on the cargo contract, requesting that i come to Florida with them to support an IT meeting about system changes to some workstations they use at KSC. This meeting just so happens to fall on the day of the may 14th launch!!!!

I GET TO GO SEE A SHUTTLE LAUNCH IN PERSON!!!!! OMG!!! :redblob":redblob":kiss::teethmast:teethmast

They already have my room reserved, and all we are waiting on is my manager to approve the two days off. Cargo is paying for all expenses!!

That's awesome man...I haven't seen one up close, but I'm about an hour and a half south and I can actually see the shuttle in the sky from my house. It's amazing...

sweet take some pics!!!!!!!

Yea, the shuttle launches are pretty rad! I can see them go up from my front yard.

Enjoy it because it looks to be one of the last. I grew up in Melbourne, FL on the Space Coast and had the good fortune to see them from my house/beach/boat. I won't give too many details but while I was in the military I saw a night shot from a plane once. Cool!

Grats bro... i have seen 2 shuttles land when i was a little kid, i wish i could see one launch. i hope u shoot some video for us.

I got to see the shuttle land over hear at Edwards air force base in Cali, I was in the 4th grade and was in the young astronauts lol
