ummm yeah.... your airbox draws in air from your fender, if your fender is left open you can suck up water even on a rainy day just driving on the streets

well, I go offroading and drive in the rain, no water problems yet. was thinking about re-routing it so water wouldnt get in.

Im lazy, theyre ugly, and I have fiberglass fenders that are 3 inches wider so I dont think they would even fit back on. Anyways im interested in seeing pics of your " crappy" liners.. heres what it looks like without the liner.

I didnt mean to say crappy, but they dont cover as much as the XE does. In 4x4 when you are stuck and in reverse it shoots water right up the liner and your truck sucks it in.

I run 3" wider glass fenders also, but I trimmed and re-installed my liners...I think they protect a lot of stuff as you can see in these 2 pics...

I need to trim mine around where the header's are & re-install them. I just left them off after i had my header's installed, to help them cool.

The way it looks doesnt bother you guys?, id go crazy not having a fenderliner it looks like crap

Yea your headlights will probably eventually get water in them too without any, not to mention it looks bad.

its a truck guys, why are you going to try and hide the guts and make it look pretty....also head lights are sealed, fender liners arent going to be the cause of water in them.

No doesn't bother me but I don't have a habit of sticking my head in there to see it either.:D

I guess with a lifted or higher Titan you see a lot more if the liners are not in.

It doesn't bother me. I only have like a 3" gap between my tire & fender.

The tire will not hit the XE liner, i have run 275-70-18 (33.2" Tall) on my stock height 2WD XE with No rubbing at all.
So do you guys think it can be done? I have 33s now and a leveling kit coming in the mail as we speak. Would the fenders be able to swap over without modifcations? They are only 25 dollars each

Ill sell you mine for your broken xbox if you still have it. or make an offer. mine are barely used haha
