I can not for the life of me get the Toyota part #9040451026 to thread into my axle. The stock valve goes in and out, and I can thread both the stock valve and the toyota part into a test nut just fine. Only difference I can see is the stock valve seams to have a tiny bit of a taper before the threaded part and by tiny I mean very tiny not enough to make a difference I would think but none the less I can not get this thing in, please help ASAP

Had the same prob w the ace hardware part. I just used the stock part and pulled the check valve off. Put the hose around it and called it a day. Holding up fine so far.

Guess I'll go back out and try forcing it some more, didn't think I would have this problem with the Toyota part

Ya I kinda ground the lip off the stock part to make the hose I bought fit around it but there's like less than 1/4" of tube to clamp onto so I think after a few good speed bumps it would wind up coming off

Its just the nissan rejecting the toyota crap! Lol!
You may try some diff nuts on the stock part at a hardware store to try to find the correct/closest thread. Buy the nut and use it to rethread the yota part.

I'm almost to the point of welding this thing in

all you had to do was pop the cap off the nissan one and put the hose on the nipple......

I meant Nissan has a threaded hose barb that fits. When I picked mine up from the Nissan dealer, the guy said "You Toyota guys are buying all of our barbs." :bangit:

May have had a bur on the fitting, nicked threads in the axle, or it was cross threaded. I did not have that issue on my 04'. No hating on the welds, looks like you didn't have enough heat though, and you may find some seepage on the top center. If you ever have to remove it check the threads on the axle to see if there ok.

This is the part number for the Nissan version: 38323-C6010

Yeah the inner threads of the axle didn't look all that great. Mostly out of frustration I resorted to welding lol. Looks like shat but fuk it nobody will see it and I believe it will function just as well as a proper installation. Maybe I could rewrite this into a write up on how NOT to do an axle vent mod hahaha
