lift help

hey guys,

i have a 2013 pro 4x CC 4x4 short box. I am looking to add some lift, but dont want to pay the 1500-2000$ price tag on a full 6" lift. I am looking at 3" up front, with 2" in back. I would like to run 35x12.5x18 general tire grabbers or bfg mud terrain t/a km2 or kumoh road venture mt on KMX XD series rockstar with a 0mm backspacing, or 33x12.5x18 on same wheels or 326/65/18 on same wheels.
Will that lift work with the tires? and if i did the 3"front and 2" rear, what else would i need to buy, besides the actual lift? I will also be getting bilstein 5100 all around. thanks

I'd at least go with the RC leveling kit. It isn't that much, def not more than a grand after you buy the rear u bolts and blocks, more like around 350. I do know that some people have had issues with a vibration with the 2" rear blocks, and the ones sold in the link in the bottom are 1.5" if you choose to buy them. I believe you can run a 35 with it with the pwm, but someone will chime in on that. Recommended tire size is 33x12.50. With this you wouldn't need anything else, but upgrading the shocks is a plus from stokers. I think the RC lift would be the cheapest way to pull it off, next would be a PRG leveling kit which is around 870. Either will def be better than that ebay lift. Hope that helps

ok, so i could go with this:

Silver Billet Lift KIT Rear 2" With Tapered Block U Bolt 4x4 4WD 4x2 2WD | eBay

to achieve my lift? what else would i need to purchase? i plan on the bilsteins on middle setting.
i have a 1.5" front level already, could i keep that also? and go with a 3" rear block instead of 2"?

if i would need to do the PWM for 35's, i think i would stick to 33's, dont really want to do that. the mud flaps can go tho.

If you already have a leveling kit, you may be able to clear a certain 33x12.50. Stock tires are already 33", so it would be a thing of will this tire set up rub if you go with more width. Next thing would be a bigger spacer up front, which means you will need an aftermarket UCA (RC, PRG, DK, TC, etc.) so you don't have CBC. As for the rear block, 2" may cause vibration so I would go with the 1.5" at the bottom of the RC page. Talk to FishnAlaska, he has a lot of info on this. Shoot him a pm, he helped me a lot when I originally was wanting to just level out.

thanks! im thinking the 3" rough country kit, with the 1.5" rear blocks, and the RC traction bars(not sure if needed?) and the bilstein 5100's on middle setting all around. Seems like this may work well, and give me the lift i want, without costing a fortune. I think lol. And hopefully will fit the 35's?

If i get the 3" RC, do i need to remove my 1.5" level, or can it be used as well?

You can't do the 3" lift and Bilsteins on your truck. Best thing to do is keep your 1.5" spacer on the front. Put the Bilsteins on the middle setting and you will get almost 3" of lift. Get some aftermarket UCA's (rough country $229, Dirt King $589, or PRG $619), and stick with a 1.5" block in the back ($65 ebay). If you do the Bilsteins all the way around (rear will not lift you any) and the above mention parts ( you wil also need cam bolts $70 and some extended endlinks $30-$70) Low end you are looking at about $750 + alignment, high end about $1100 + alignment, if you do the install yourelf. To get the 35's on you will loose your mud flaps, and have to do the pinch weld mod, even then they might not fit, the rims you choose will make a huge difference on what tires will fit. You will look just like this if you do the setup listed above, about the highest you can go without a bracket lift which will start at about $1300. I'm running 33's

thanks fishn! I have been looking around, and doing some reading. Would this be an ok option?:

RC 3" lift, but will ask for a 2" spacer, instead of the normal - 289(should be less, with smaller spacer?)
1.5" blocks - 46$
cam bolts - 70
bilsteins - 380 total
= 785 or less pending RC

Or can i only do a max of 1.5" even with the RC UCA?

would i need the RC traction bars?

will it allow 35x12.5x18's on 18.9 with 0mm offset?

thanks, just trying to maximise my height, without spending the big money for a 6" lift, but still do it right with good parts, and have no issues.

1.5 is the max you can go, if you do the DK or PRG UCA's they will give you a little more room, but ultimately your not being held back by the UCA as much as you are on the angle of your CV joint/axle after the install, after 3" you realy start putting to much pressure on the CV axle/joint. If you get the RC UCA's you can get them on the Rough Country Ebay site for like 210-215. I don't have the traction bars, but have thought about them, NEED, no - like to have, possibly? I am not a tire/wheel guru but there are a thousand threads on what fits with different back spacing/offsets. Sometimes it depends on what tire you want and what size is available. I wanted the Duratracs, and the sizes are limited, next size up was too big and I didn't want to do the PWM or loose my flaps.

I REALLY REALLy doubt a 35 with a 0mm offset will fit. itd look better with a 33 and 0offset anyways.

Ok so I can't really go any higher without doing a 6" lift? Was hoping I could get a couple more inches all around. But I guess that's it.
Going to have to think about it a little more I guess, to see if it's worthwhile. I want a bit more height to fit a bigger more aggressive tire and have a more aggressive/wider stance.
