Here is the latest update from the boys at Donahoe Racing via my email inquiry:

Steven- We will have out Titan coil-over's released in about 4-5
weeks. We just released them into production last week and everything is
looking very nice. We should have them ready to go by the beginning maybe
middle of November. If you have any other questions let me know. Thanks.

If it's only 4-5 weeks, then IMO, I think they should release them in Oct. instead of Nov. j/k

ahh mann! you beat me//1
i called them yesterday and got the same response. he did also add that by dec/jan they will have a complete packg:coilovers, rear shocks and springs.

When you say springs, you mean new leafs (and if so, do they affect towing and hauling at all)? Do these coilovers give you adjustable lift like the PRG ones?

he said "deavers" and on their site for tundras youcan get the1 1/2" add-a-leafs like prg's or get taller 2"replacement pack. and the 2 1/2"coilovers are just like prg's fox's, but many have been saying that DR is better
it is the shock of choice on the baja titan. and he said the rear shox will have resevoirs.

THIS WOULD BE A SWEET SETUP TO ADD PRG'S A-ARMS TO :rockon

That's a "DR" Toyota kit? I see DR coilovers, Deaver leafpack, full leaf spring (probably Deaver) and Bilstein rear shocks.

1. How much could a kit like this be for a Titan?

2. How would something like this improve the off road handling/driving?

3. Does it also give a better on road ride?

4. will it give also 3" of lift like others are getting?

Stay tuned, i have a set of the DR coil-overs on my truck now, as well as the spring upgrade pack, and the dr rear shock is very similar to a fox or bilstien with an exteranl reservoir. THe coil-overs SHOULD sell for around $999/pr, the rear springs are $199/pr. and the rear shocks SHOULD be around $399/pr. You can get around 3" of lift and still keep a decent amount of droop, the upper a-arm is still the limiting factor though. I will write a ton more later this week when i get back.

You are correct. We are trying to have them released for Offroad Expo in October. We will have the 4X4 Titan race truck in our booth. We are hoping to have a rear leaf spring option and resevoir shock after the first of the year. If any of you have any further questions please give me a call.

can these shocks be used with the rancho lift and still have enough travel for offroad?

The thing that makes me think that the DRE is for non-lifts, (except of course for their own lifting capabilities), is that when you look at the Fox racing shocks, (the ones that PRG offers), there are two versions - one for lifted CST, Rancho, Fab-Tech, Procomp; and the other a stock Titan version.

If you follow the link below and look at the photo, you will see that they are very different, (Greg's work). Therefore, I believe the initial DRE offering won't work with the lift kits, unless DRE is planning on two versions. Give Mike a call, his number is a couple of threads back.

Here's the link with the two versions of Greg's modified Fox coil-overs, (be sure to click on them for a close-up):

Also, I think that someone said the DRE coil-overs are for stock only, and would provide up to at least 2" lift on a 4x4 and at least 2.5" of lift on a 2wd.

With the addition of the Total Chaos upper a-arm, about 3" of lift 4x4, and 3.5" 2wd. But of course the important thing with the Total Chaos, (uppers), is the addition of about 2" of travel, for ~9" total.

I'm not sure how its going to be with the Titans, but for the Toyota there are 2 versions of the DR coilover: one a direct swap for the stock shock/strut to be used with the factory control arms; and one for long travel system to be used with aftermarket control arms, like those offered by Total Chaos and Camburg.

MIKE, welcome to the board...

Sounds like we could have a nice group buy here @ TT for the coilovers or the whole kit, with a special group price and an amazing introductory price for us TT members...

Where can you find info on the Total Chaos upper a-arm? How much and are they available now?
PRG is selling the Total Chaos arm, but I don't have a dollar figure since they are not on his website yet. Send him a PM (to PrerunnerGreg) and he will tell you everything you want to know.

I'm pretty sure the Toyota arms sell for $550, and Greg has mentioned he thinks the Titan arms will be between $550 and $600.

i too contacted the fine folks and Donohoe Racing Enterprise and they told me the same thing that it'd be 4-5 weeks. i asked him specifically why it has taken so long when they initially said it'd be 4-5 weeks back in what...? january... anyheww, he kindly told me that they were devoting most of their research and development on the Ford F150 setup. i said you're kidding me right?...in a non-rude way. i just think that is flat out malarkey!! but oh well, little do they realize that the titan setup is what is going to sell... why? smarter owners!! f150 first- ridiculous!!

Yep Tort, when I read this way back when, I was thinking April 1st? I hope he's not going to be making April Fools out of us Titan owners.
