Does anyone know if the 2005 RF package is Satellite radio ready. I have a SAT button, but know service. If I buy a antenna, can I easily plug it into the back of the radio, or is there more to it than that?

Sounds like you are in the same boat as I am. The Sat button pretty much makes it plug and play, but we have to buy the hardware to play with. Meaning, a Sat receiver and an antenna.

The best online price I've come across is here.

If memory serves me correctly, we don't need to buy the brackets - there is a post on here somewhere that shows how another member used existing hardware.

You have to buy the unit that replaces your unit thats in the truck. Just a swap out.
There is nothing to swap out. You just add the receiver and antenna. Choose from XM or Sirius
You can also use one that plays through the FM receiver. Some people swear by them, others swear at them.

The RF system has a cable that goes under the driver side dash and also connects to the back of the RF HU. It uses Nissan's unique N-BUS connector, so you need a Sat receiver designed for the N-BUS connector. You can use non-Nissan receivers that connect via the AUX jack or through an FM modulator. Some of these alternatives have a better display, but do not interface with the steering wheel controls. The FM modulators have inferior sound quality versus N-bus or AUX connection. (Please investigate the high frequency limits of FM modulators before attempting to dispute this fact.)
