For those of you that have the broken stanchions causing the rear console to sag..I have found a fix!! (and have been holding out on you guys for about a 8 months....SORRY!)
When I removed the rear console, I found that nearly all my stanchions had been broken. It was somehow wedged into the headliner.
You will need a demel or small orbital sander to sand down the broken stanchions and create a flat surface to mount your new stanchions in place.
This repair requires a small bottle of gorilla glue, 4 screws (your choice), and 4tee nuts. I bought my screws on the longer side to be safe and cut them down to about .5"-.75" for this repair. I bought all the material @ Home Depot for about $10.
Using the black overhead tray, lay it back into place within the bezel to establish your mounting points. Mark them so however your wish. Remove hardware and tray.
Dampen the bezel surface with water as per the directions on the Gorilla glue. Use the glue to adhere the tee nuts in the locations you had marked. Allow glue to dry a few hours before re-installing. I chose Gorilla glue because of its durability and strength...rediculous strength. When dry, it will foam up a bit. I let the glue foam up about an eighth of an inch around the tee nut...so the entire tee nut was engulfed.
