Hey what's up guys I am new to this and I was just curious if I install this 2.5 inch spacer on my 2008 4x2 Titan will I have any coil bucket contact.
Thanks in advance

yes, probably. 1.5" is what you need

with the 2008+ T's you can get away with putting in a 2 inch. The 2.5 would give you coil bucket contact.

Here is my 2010 SE CC 2WD with 2" leveling kit. I still think its still a little lower in front but I would probably have CB contact with the 2.5".

Hey guys I just joined this forum cuz I have a lot of ?'s before I start doin mods to my 08 crew cab and the leveling kit is one of the ?'s.....First off what is "coil bucket contact"? I haven't seen anything about this on any of the kits I have looked at? Second, I want to do a front and rear kit and have found some good deals on ebay. I found these options 3"f+2"r, 3"f+1.5"r, 3"f+1"r, 2.5"f+1.5"r. Which of these would be the best kit to go with?

If it helps my truck is 2wd whether it makes a different or not I don't know but its lookin like it does...

Coil Bucket Contact is when your Upper Control Arm (UCA) contacts the coil bucket at full droop usaully making a lound, annoying "clunk" sound, this will cause damage to your upper control arms. This typically happens when you go over speed bumps or potholes. You can avoid this by buying new aftermarket UCA's or by going with a smaller spacer. 08+ models only recommend a 2" spacer in front. In order to go with a 3" up front you will definitely need new (UCA's), with a 2.5" spacer up front you may still have some contact. Also Anything over 1.5" it is recommended that you install new longer bumpstops.

You may want to check out this kit....google search..."Titan 3" Rough country leveling kit"

Yeah the prices are kind of high but with PRG you don't have to worry about anything. Greg can answer all your questions and offers great customer service. I've heard nothing but great things about his products. I had purchased the 2.5" PRG kit but was told I'd probably get CB contact I went with a 2" I found on Ebay for $80 and it is great quality perfect fit and came with a warranty and detailed step by step instructions.

Hey socal I'm just wondering if you installed your leveling kit yourself... And if so was it hard or was it a price of cake
I did install it myself. I took my time and went step by step and re-torqued eerything to specs. The first side took me about 2 hours (I lost a nut and was trying to get it for about 30 minutes of that time) 2nd side took about 45 minutes. Overall I'd say a long as you know what a UCA, sway bar end link, strut, and spindle are then you should be just fine, pretty damn easy!
Good luck man.
I used the provided instructions and an install thread on here (the PRG one) for pics when I did my install.

Good luck! Post pics (before and after).

What year is your Titan? Are you trying to run these on the factory 18's? What size rims if not?

Pinch Weld Mod is very simple, It will only take a few minutes to do both sides if you have a saws all and a can of black primer. Here is the thread to show you how easy it is.

http://www.titantalk.com/forums/titan-faq-howto-area/48315-simplify-pinch-weld-mod.html

This simply allows you to run slightly larger tires without rubbing. If you are a 2WD then you will be fine with a 2" level and no CB contact (I believe on any 2wd 04-07 you would be able to run a 2.5" spacer without contact as well) but if you are 4X4 then you will only want to go with a 1.5" leveling kit.

Very little on a 2wd

Does anyone here have pics of the 295x70x17??

Ok just to recap the 295x70 would fit fine an not require the PWM?
What about the 33x12.5 I'm guessing that would ?

Hey guys im new to this site and actually just got my titan, i was curious about getting a leveling kit but am not sure on what size or brand...you guys make it sound like a 2" PRG is best... would this work for a 2009 king cab 2WD?

#36 ·
I have a 05 2wd will the 3" leveling kit cause CB contact?

#37 ·
Yes, guaranteed! You can run the 2.5" though!

#38 ·
And the only way to prevent that would be new uca?

#42 ·
What year is your Titan? 2WD or 4X4? What size leveling kit do you have installed? If it is a clunking sound as most describe it then it is probably CBC (coil bucket contact / Your upper control arm (UCA) hitting the lip of your coil bucket).
Easy way to tell is to look at the lip of your coil bucket and see if you have indentions where the UCA would hit if it were the case.

Hitting speed bumps and pot holes are common instances where you would experience CBC when using too large of a leveling kit.

Intentions for the truck are to look "cute" as the wife would say. Its a street queen, and so is the truck lmfao

 Well...So if you just wanted to level it then just throw the 2.5" kit, done deal, unless...you want a little more than just try the coil and/ or adjustable strut, combination.
