I put a bunch of stock items up for sale and several people have asked me what I replaced those parts with... so...

2008 Nissan Titan PRO-4x purchased on February 19. My mods as of 4/9/2008:

- Red Rock Leather (from Toyota Tundra - dealer I purchased from also owned a Toyota dealer so they matched the color for me.)
- KMC XD Series Rockstar Rims 18 x 9
- 325/65-18 Nitto Terra Grapplers (35 x 12.5 )
- Total Chaos Upper Control Arms (UCA?s)
- 2 1/2 inch leveling kit
- 1 1/2 inch lifting blocks in the rear
- DRE Shocks in the rear
- B-cool upper and lower grills ? powder-coated black
- Black rear tail lights (ebay)
- New shift knob (from Toyota)
- Undercover tonneau cover (black)
- Air box mod (noticed no difference)
- Removed sway bar
- Keyless entry keypad (Nissan accessory part)
- Debadged everything but the rear 4x4 and the PRO-4x stickers (should I take PRO-4x stickers off too?)

Doing this week:
+ Tinting passenger and driver windows
+ Painting the chrome stars on my rims black

Future:
++ Front coilovers and shocks (I should have gone straight to this and skipped the 2.5 leveling kit - live and learn!)

Thoughts about my mods?

my personal opinion is if ur going to debadge, then do it all the way.

truck looks damn cool so far....keep it up!

Wow, that is a sharp truck.

Looks good, man! But, IMHO, don't loose the PRO-4x decals. The truck will loose it's designation and persona. You'll look like you have a modified XE Titan (no offense XE owners, I had one!), not a PRO-4x.

I like the red rock leather and the sticker (and I'm a hard-core sticker hater)...

looks great...leave the PRO 4X...i also am not crazy about the red leather....but to each his own.

Dude, you have to lose the red leather interior. If you're blacking out the truck you should've gotten dark grey or black leather.....the red leather sticks out

LOL... that's pretty funny! I am definitely not going to have other leather installed... or cover it up with covers. I love the saddle bag color leather I have... shoot - I picked it! The color doesn't show up correctly on the pics. It's like the king ranch leather on fords. It's actually not red at all. My truck originally came stock with cloth and I wanted leather so I worked the leather deal into the price of the truck. I got to pick my own color out of about 50 swatches and this one was THE ONE FOR ME! There is no way it's going anywhere... but it definitely is a love it or hate it type of thing. I LOVE IT! Plus when I get my driver and pass. windows tinted tomorrow you will hardly see in at all. I have also never heard of anyone blacking out the exterior AND INTERIOR of their car/truck... there is plently of other stuff not blacked out in my interior...

As far as the PRO-4x stickers... I would typically remove all badges... but I think I will keep them. I do wish they were smaller or that the graphic was more subliminated.... like a different shade of black or something... but o'well!

Thanks for the looking, the props, and feedback... either way it went!

Your truck looks sick!

I like the leather, it's different, in a good way!

I would lose the stickers, but that's just me. I debadged down to the burgers and TITAN on the tailgate. I don't mind showing what truck I have, I just didn't need to show it three times. I also have a thing about "stats" on badges - who cares if your truck is a 5.6 or a 5.7? Does it matter? And anyone who doesn't know that the Titan has a V8 doesn't need to know.

Blacking out those rims will look good too!

One final suggestion, have you thought about a different location for the keyless entry keypad? A lot of guys put them inside the fuel door - trick location. It stands out on your driver's door there, and reminds me of a ford - yuck!

Thanks a lot Schrute! Man I love The Office... dwight is my favorite character... he's awesome!!

DAMN... I keep doing back and forth about those pro-4x stickers... i flip-flop on them constantly.

Good suggestion too.. been trying to think of a place for that keypad. funny about the ford... that is the reason I got the keypad for the Titan. I used to have an F-150 FX-4 ... it sucked ... but man we loved that lame *** keypad thing. When we first got that truck we thought the keypad was dumb... but we ended up using it ALL THE TIME. Was so excited to see that Nissan had the option too. When I first got it I almost stuck it to the underside of my rear view mirror so it wouldn't be visible... I will definitely stick it in the gas compartment and try it out there for a while. Hopefully it's not a pain the a== to open that little door every single time I need to get into my truck...

Txs again...

Under the mirror is a trick location too! Might be easier to get to there.

New episode of The Office tonight - Finally! :D

I like it man. Would you mind showing a few more pics that are difect side shots. I'm considering getting some 20" KMC Monsters on 33" Toyo MT's with a level kit and would like to see how it looks on my black PRO-4X. Thanks man.

Looks good so far! I'm surprised you were able to fit 35's with just a leveling kit. Grill looks great...I may get one like that some day. Like Schrute said, black out the Rockstars....I did on my ****** and it looks saweet! Here's a pic of mine:

I think I will debadge my truck a little more. Again, Schrute's point about "5.6L" is so true...who cares?!? And how many times do we have to tell people that it's a "TITAN" anyway? Also, I vote to remove the Pro4X sticker (I did). I, for one, can't stand stickers on a $30K+ vehicle. I mean, c'mon, can you imagine seeing a sticker on a G35 or 350Z?!? Silly rabbit, stickers are for kids....

YAHOO!!!! New Office tonite!!!!!!

Truck looks good, if you're still undecided about the PRO X 4 sticker, maybe you should find someone that can design the sticker in the color you want. You went all out on the upolstery.

Thanks go fast... I saw your post couple months ago when I first got my truck and thought... "if I ever get rockstars I'd do the same thing"... SO I DID! 4 coats of flat black spray paint... the shiny parts in the pic are just from the flash. Cut the posts too. Just did it this last weekend and I like it MUCH BETTER!!!

I wanted to mention that I cut the bolts down myself instead of buying new ones. I was going to use my bandsaw, but I don't have a steel blade and didn't want to ruin my high end wood blades. Instead I sandwiched the bolt with 2 small blocks of wood and clamped it down to my workbench and used a hacksaw to cut each bolt. I cut about one inch off of each one. 20 bolts (and an arm workout later) they were were all cut. I ran the ends through my grinder a bit and all of them screwed right on nicely. I have also read that sometimes the plastic hubs come loose and fly off so I used loc-tite on all the bolts when I put them back on.

they actually don't rub hardly ever. only if I go up a curb at a high speed or if I hit a pretty big dip while turning.

New shift knob was about 50-60 on ebay. My existing one just unscrewed. The new shifter wasn't t hard to modify... but you do need the right drill bit so that you don't drill it out too much and make the hole too big... then it will just wobble around like a bobble head. The drill bit has to be big and fairly long too. I starter with a smaller one, then moved up to longer and bigger drill bits as I got closer to the right size. I'd drill a little, then install it and back and forth. Did that at least 10 times until I got it right. You will also need a vice or clamps to hold the knob in place while you drill it out. Use a cloth of course so you don't ruin the knob. I originally was planning on making new threads in the knob, but that wasn't necessary. It is tight as heck and it doesn't move or turn whatsoever.
Good luck...
