i work at a fasteners warehouse. what size castle nut is it ?

 

its the one for the upper ball joint....I'll try to get a measurement tomorrow and shoot it to ya.

 

Whats it look lik? I have a stock uca maybe i can pull it off for ya? or just sell the whole thing

 

i just checked and we have plenty in stock. 7/16, 9/16, 1/2, 5/8, 3/4, 7/8, and 1"

 

It is probably a Metric Size, no SAE. Like 12mm or 14mm diameter. need to know Pitch too. Distance in mm between threads. May be listed in a drawing somewhere. McMaster-Carr probably has a listing for them. No minimum $$ order size.

 

I went to two different shops... one specialty fastener place said its SAE (I think it was 9/16)... then I went to Napa... they said its metric.

When you said pitch...your next sentence was distance in mm between threads... I assume that pitch is the distance between threads... correct?

Besides a drawing... how could I figure it out?

ok, the nut is 22mm with standard thread

 

Here is the crazy thing... the dealership told me it didnt need a castle nut and that their books show no mention of the nut at all (they even showed me their drawings) The site you listed shows it as a castle nut.

I called "MOOG" .... got a tech who told me it was a 14mm 1.5mm pitch

I just called the courtesy parts place... talked to "JOE" and he pulled their part.... its not a castle nut... even though the picture you linked to shows it as one.
